Want a FP for Soarin, but can't get one?

Get one for Test track instead! Test Track will inevitably break down, and then you will have a "multi-experience" FP that you can use for Soarin, lol!

Seriously though, we were at Epcot two days last week and TT was down much of those two days. Our first morning, we went straight to Soarin but by the time we got there at 9:05, it was already a 60 min wait. We decided to do TT single rider instead (weather was fine, no rain or anything) but after 10 min in line, they made the announcement that the ride was down and FP's would be given out. So, we took our fp over to Soarin. The next day, TT had been down that morning, but came back up and I was able to grab a fp for it. By the time our window opened, it was down again and I had another multi-experience pass, which I promptly took to Soarin. I do love the new Soarin, so it worked out, but it would be nice to also be able to ride TT once in a while.....

Get to Soarin early. We did it today without a fp about 20 minutes after rope drop. Manageable wait of 20 minutes or so.

We did get there early - the park opened at 9:00 and we were in line by 9:05. Not sure why it was so crowded, it was not an early emh morning.

In August, at times we have been able to do Soarin' 3 or even 4 times at rope drop before the line climbed up above 20 - 30 minutes.

Yup, Rope Drop Soarin. I was also able to get TT as a 4th FP+ last trip.

Well, we were rope dropping it. We were at the gate by 8:45 and in line by 9:05. I was also able to get TT as a 4th FP, but couldn't use it since it went back down. We were able to do Soarin three times one day though which was fine with me.

My main point is that TT was down pretty much our entire two days.

Frozen isn't much better than TT in terms of breaking down

I had made FEA FP+ for the last day of our trip last year, was looking at wait times on the Touring Plans app and noticed it was down 3 times that morning before our FP+. we can only afford to do to Disney every 3 years and when the little girls in our family would have been SO disappointed if they could not do FEA. but luckily it was up and running for our FP+.

Yeah, my strategy is to make sure the rides that break down more often have FPs scheduled for earlier in the day and earlier in our trip just in case! That way we would have more time to fit it into our schedule if it becomes an anytime FP.

I guess we were lucky then, we were able to ride it twice and I don't remember seeing it down while we were there. I'm sure it was at some point, but must not have been for too long.

We were able to get a late in the day Soarin 4th FP by breaking our party of 5 into groups of 2 and 3 and refreshing until we got overlapping times. But our last FP was FEA at 12:30 so we had a decent starting time for 4th FP.
