Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

2.35 mile run in 22 minutes today.

I am going out of town today, so I have no idea how much I'll get in the rest of the week.

I did 2.62 miles in the rain after work. Was supposed to do 3, but couldn't handle the rain. Time was 41min49sec.

Have a great evening Warriors!!!

Did my 75 minutes of yoga. ahhhhh.....

Erika, so sorry you had a rough run. You did brilliantly to keep walking and to add a bit too. You should feel really proud of that because it's so easy just to stop. Get yourself back in the mindset that you can do it, in fact you can do ANYTHING and we're right here behind you. There are around 12 pairs of warrier feet ready to kick you along your route!!!! I've had a couple of runs like that, but the following ones have been ok and hopefully you'll be the same. Lots of pixie dust your way tho :wizard:

Carrie- i saw your great race report, it looked like such a random and fun event. You did amazingly with your time!!! So lovely seeing some WISH faces too.

Another trip to TM for me as it's 2 degrees celsius here- we had snow WHOOP WHOOP! I even made a snowman! Can you tell i'm struggling to keep my inner child in check? :rotfl: Getting really fed up with TM's stopping after 60mins and having to reset, breaks up my run and i always need the bathroom then! Anyway.... 9.3 miles run and 0.2 warm/cool and stretch = 90 mins.

Erika - SOrry about the rough run. :grouphug: Those are what make teh great ones feel all teh greater. Up to teh last month or 2, I have not been really plased with a run since my injuries hit last March. Hang in there. Thre will eb better days!

Kate - :goodvibes So funny. If you read Erin's report about the race, you woldn't have much desire to do it. She was 100% correct, though. Having the WISHers there really made the event for me. Oh, and teh PR. ;) It's really all about being with fiends, though. DOn't know what I'd be doing without WISH.

So far for the week:
sunday - 3 miles 45 min
monday - 3.1 miles (5k) 35min
wednesday - 3 miles 42 min

Good job everyone!!

Becky

Hi everyone!

Did a fairly fast walk tonight with DH and Harry. I've discovered I can't walk fast unless I'm trying to keep up with someone faster, so it was good I had DH with me. Made it 3.5 miles in about 55 minutes.

Looks like everyone's doing great!

Hi warriors, I'm sending you guys a new mate, please welcome Miranda. She is Denise's daughter and a real sweetheart. She will love you guys.

Recruiter Panda:hippie:

Welcome Miranda! HOpe this doesn't sound rude, but I'm not sure who denise is. Can you share her screen name! Tell us alittle about yourself if you get a chance! :)

Welcome, Miranda!

OK, tell me if I have the right Denise for your mom- I think you are part of the family in the pictures where there's a bunch of you (like 7 or 8) who have your half medals... is that close? If it's right, I'm always impressed you have such a big group! Either way, welcome!

Welcome, Miranda! Woo-Hoo! Another Warrior! Lovin' it!

Ok, so I had my bad run on Tuesday as I posted. Weds. was a scheduled rest day for me, though I did meet with my running coach (who is also a sports massage therapist) and he gave me a half hour "runners' massage." OMG, that felt GREAT. He found and released TONS of tension on different leg muscles.

(FYI--the reason I have a running coach is because I have never before been a runner. Played lots of sports, was a fitness trainer, etc., but had never managed to run more than one mile in my 38 years. Started C25K...and was running the 5k distance by about week 3. WTH?? ME? The anti-runner?? :rotfl: I didn't know what to do with from there....should I start increasing my distance? Or work on increasing my turtle speed? So, I got a coach....very inexpensive, surprisingly.)

Today, it was back at it. I had a 50-minute run scheduled and I did the whole thing! My bad run the other day was just...an off day. I ran outside today...how wonderful! Spring has finally come to Maine! :goodvibes

Erika

So my totals...4.6 miles, running plus a workout of arms and abs = total time of 80 minutes.

Erika- wahoo!!! I knew it would be a temporary blip. I think running coaches sounds great, that whole concept hasn't really hit off over here.

Miranda- welcome to the wonderful warriers. Can't wait to hear all about you and what you get up to.

Roxy- that's a giant run, congratulations on getting back into it. We're all so proud of your fab recovery and determination.

Just back from 6.2mile run outside in 56mins, my furthest outside one yet, followed by 10mins stretching. It didn't feel too bad either. 6 degrees and drizzly outside, it reminded me of running into a giant mist spray. I had visions of disney again!!!

Oh we're passed the middle of the week and i'm actually off at the weekend :scared1: hope everyone's ok

Just wanted to give my Warriors a laugh:

I made plans to go walking tonight with my friend, Ivy. So, then DH says he wants to go walking because we had fun last time. So I tell him I'm already going, and he's a bit pouty. Now I find myself committed to TWO walks, one right after the other. For the first walk, we are going to circle our church with a fenced in playground so the kids can play. I think the highlight is going to be when DH realizes it was a fluke Emma was out last night and that she'll have to come with us on my second walk and can't maintain his pace. Maybe I'll put her on her bike...

What do I really want to do? I'm a warrior of simple needs- I want to put Harry in his stroller and run 3 miles...:rolleyes1

Oh, and I better go put the jogging stroller in my car now because I told a friend she could borrow it sometimes, and she keeps taking it when I want it (as in two days in a row!) I guess I'll have to deal with that mess eventually too!

Thansk fro teh laugh Jen! Good luck on your walks tonight! :p

Hello Warriors!!

Warrior Barb checking in! 3 miles in 46.26 minutes.

Carrie, do you attribute your PB in your 1/2 to Chi Running? Great job and congratulations on a race well run.

Welcome Miranda, I'm glad you are a part of our great team.
