Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Hi everyone,

posting for this week, no miles but a total of 9 hours of exercise.

Well, it was raining all day, and I almost didn't go out, but then I saw how well everyone was doing...:rolleyes1

so when it finally slowed to a drizzle, I did 4 miles in about 50 minutes. Three of those miles were at an 11:30 pace, so I was pleased. I didn't take Harry because of the weather- apparently when I'm not having to retrieve Magnadoodles and bags of treats from under the stroller, I'm a lot faster! And it did start to pour, but I had on my favorite hat and was quite comfortable. ;)

So thanks WWs for inspiring me!:goodvibes

Good luck to our racers tomorrow! Go Carrie and Scott!:cheer2:

Rain, rain, rain....................................

I may try to put in some miles at work tomorrow, but I think I may really need the extra day off. Some weird "twinges" & pain in my right ankle. Ugh.

Oh jim twinges sound like a call for a break! Maybe the rain is mother nature's way of getting you to stay in ;)

Did 2.5 miles again this morning- 23 mins total. Little legs are sleepy as went to london yesterday to see one of my old housemates. Was so lovely but now i miss her even more! On the positive side each time i go i realise i'm not a city person, this time my phone didn't even work the whole time i was in london. It perked up as we left the city :lmao:

Carrie hope your race went brilliantly today :goodvibes

Here are the rest of my miles (not counting my LR):

12 miles in 2hrs 47 min.

Have a great Sunday!

Becky

Hi all! Woo-Hoo the Maine weather has finally realized that it is SPRING! We have been in the 40s for the last several days (yes, that is a big deal! :rotfl2: ) and next week we will see 50s almost all week! :cool1:

Friday = 3 miles; time with strength training = 60 minutes
Saturday = off
Sunday = 4 miles OUTSIDE plus warm-up and cool-down = 50 minutes

Let's have another great week everyone! My coach has me upping things a lot this week. My short runs go to 40 minutes and my long runs go to 60 minutes (2 of each in the week) and my 5th run for the week is a speed work-out (I told him that I don't care if I ever get fast, though I would like to go just tad faster than the turtle that I currently am! :rotfl2: )

Hi all you warriors....I have been away since Wednesday night at.....

JimB: Hot.?....After about 15min in Orlando I was wiping sweat off my face and then my neck was completely soaked!! Mornings were pretty nice though and there was a very nice breeze the entire time I was there.
Here in south florida, we have had highs at 87 with feels like higher.
Take care WARRIORS!!

Stacie - awesome job on the 5.8 mikes! Woo Hoo! :cool1:

Carrie--congrats on your PR! Three Cheers for YOU! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I did 5.5 miles today plus some strength training for a total of 80 minutes.

Keep going Warriors!

Happy Monday Warriors!!

Carrie - Great work on the PR!! WTG!

Today I did a 33 mile bike ride in 2:03.

Last weeks total 117 miles in 8:40. Not as impressive as it sounds. Most of it was on my bike. Only 17 miles running. I think I am going to try and tilt the balance to running a bit more. Total mileage will probably drop (a lot) because of this, but I need to keep the ultimate goal (Goofy '09) in sight & train accordingly.

BTW.....................

Here's what I was doing last week when I was unable to run much. That's me on the end of the ropes.

Above me is all of my buddies ("Hmmmmmmmm.. Wonder how big of a stain he'll make when he hits..............." )

Jim - You didn't call that XT????:confused3 Wow. BTW, you know we want you to train in the way that most helps you, right? While we tease about how you have to bike and get your miles up, you need to do what's good for you! FOrgive me if you've ever felt real pressure. :goodvibes

Forgot to put in Sunday's miles: 1 mile run, 5 mile fast walk with friend. Let's call it 1.5 hours.

Jen in GA

Whew, it's been a long day but I managed 3.15 miles in 50 minutes. Keep at it Warriors!!!!!

Jim, that is some XT. Great pic though.

I just love coming here to read how everyone is doing! Way to go!

I love this time of year here when I can get outside and it is still cooler in the spring. I always pick up on the pace. It is just so much easier for me than that hot stuff. I did a great 5k on the trail tonight for me. I managed a 12:45 pace and felt good about it.

Happy training all!

We whimped out last night. Were due for 40 min and did a 24 min bike ride instead. On the bright side, it was 3.92 miles, which is further than we would have run.

Today was the first time since I started running (about 10 weeks ago) that I could not complete my scheduled run. Not sure why....just had a tough go of it, so I stopped after about 27 minutes (planned 40) and walked the rest of the time and then a bit longer to make up for the lack of running. Also did some strength training.

Total miles = 3.9 Total time = 70 minutes
