Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Thanks for the welcome, it will be so nice to get to know you all better.

This was my first training in 2 months so I feel successful. 2 1/2 miles in 43 minutes. I told you I was slow! LOL

Welcome!!! It's lovely to 'meet you'. 2 1/2 miles in 43 mins is a great time, especially when it was your first outing in 2 months. Oh i can tell you're going to be a good and proper warrier!

Welcome Barb! Great Job SMILEY for signing up for that race!

I just wanted to post that I went to the gym last night and did a 20 min step glass and then a total of 40 min on the bike--8.5 miles!!! I've never done that before. Yay me! :goodvibes I was going to do the elliptical, but when I found out they had a step class, opted to do that and then the bike to get in some extra mileage this week. Without this challenge, I probably would have never done that!

Hope everyone has a good day! Keep up the good work guys!!!
Stacie

I did 30 minutes on the elliptical this morning. My distance was 2.07 miles. Slow and steady wins the race. ;)

Hi Everyone: I did 20 min on the exercise bike yesterday. I was pretty uninspired.

Barb - Way to go on getting out there. Just got to say, dh and I have Believe charms that never leave our runnign shoes due to you inspiration. :goodvibes

Way to go Heather & Stacie! I am so proud of everyone for getting out there. COngrats on signing up for teh 5K Barb!

I did 4.33 (or.36, must do the math) miles in 50 min last night. DId I mention that I hate the TM???? Oh well. I've been picking up my pace for at elast part of my work outs, so I'm happy with myself. First pace progress I've seen since I pretty much started over again last July due to injuries. Taking it careful, but nice to see progress again.

Florida - rain, thunder, lightning.

No miles today......................

Jim, you have been like a machine since we started. You deserve a day off. Besides, at least it's just rain, not like the snow we're getting in NY today. Not that I'm bitter or anything. Have I mentioned how much I love winter?:beach:

Good evening team, I needed your motivation again tonight and I felt it. I did a 2 mile Walk Away the Pounds tape for a total of 30 minutes.

Great job everyone, this is all good!

DId my 75 min of yoga last night! I walk out feeling like mush. Love it!

Great job you guys!!! Jim--I agree...you totally need a break!

Carrie: Way to go on the yoga! Whew! I'd have been wiped out!

Stacie - However you want to post is fine. If you just want to post individual work outs, I'll total. If youi want to use your summary from your journal, that's fine too.

carrie 75 mins of yoga sounds fab and stacie your plan looks fantastic.

For my lovely team 7 i finally ran 7 miles!!!! It took 75 mins and i had to have a toilet break (maybe i need to drink less before running or mayb pick a treadmill away from the pool!) and i'm feeling exhausted. Off to have a trainer check at the weekend so we'll see what magical difference that will make.

Two more days guys lets give it the final push :yay:

1 hour strenght training with personal trainer. 45 minutes extra strenght training on own. 6.20 mile run in 1 hour.:yay: Great Job everyone.

You know, Walt's Warriors, I was just thinking about some strategies to help you all win this thing....:scratchin I know you're thinking slow and steady, regular progress, participating in the double-mileage-counting races. Sure, that's ONE way to go...

But I have a super-secret idea for you. Why don't you rest up, really rest up, for about nine or ten months. Then you'll have the endurance to really kick things into high gear & put in super mileage at the end of the challenge. And you'll have lulled the rest of us into complacency. Why, with this strategy, you could take the game easily. Just don't tell the other teams--they'll be jealous that I'm giving you this plan. :ssst:

And now I return you to your regularly-scheduled thread.... :tiptoe:

:rotfl: Like that will happen. Not. I cannot imagine not working out at least 6 six days a week. :thumbsup2 . Thanks for the advice though. It just got me in the mood to do more.:cool1:

Well don't come whinning to us when you are down with the toemaine. You should have taken her advice and rested. You ain't gonna win any way homey.

Good Morning TEAM: :surfweb:

OK, I've done very little training this week. In fact, I've done nothing since my 20 min on the bike on Monday. I've had a lousy week at work, and it's been sapping all my energy. Plus, I figure the rest days will be good for my hip. However, I wanted to pop on here and see how my teammates were doing.

Carrie- Great job on your treadmill miles and yoga. WTG! That's awesome.

Roxy- You are an inspiration with your running and biking and strength training and running...

1/2marathonpixie- Great job on your 2 miles. Keep it up.

Stacie- That's a great week of exercise you have going. I'm really impressed how you mix up your exercise regimens.

smileyk8- Wow, great job on your 7 miles. Congratulations!

Thanks for the motivation everyone. I'll be back at it soon.
