Does anyone have any information on the Walt Disney World Very Merry Christmas Parade, to be broadcast on Christmas Day on ABC?
Do they shot it live and is there a good place to be for the chance of getting on TV during the parade? Any information that can be provided would be great.

Thanks everyone 32 days and counting.:bounce:

The show is recorded in early December.

Since Christmas is on a Saturday this year, the show will be on ABC at 1pm ET, after the cartoons end in most of the country.

Anyone know when in early December? We'll be there the 3-7 and I'm guessing it might be crowded when they film the parade with people wanting to be on tv so I'd like to avoid the MK that day if possible. Though it would be neat to be on tv, I'll probably be alone with my 9 month old so I'd like ot keep the crowds to a minimum if possible.

I read somewhere else on the boards that they tape starting Dec.3-5. We are also avoiding MK on that weekend. Hitting Epcot or MGM instead. Maybe just staying at the resort and exploring (staying at AKL so there should be plenty to do)

Has anybody heard who is hosting the parade this year, I watch Regis and Kelly and they haven't said they are going to DIsney, so it must not be them.

If the follow historical filming...it will be the first weekend in Dec. which is the 3-5th....I watched the filming 2 yrs ago....while the parade area...main street and the hub were very crowded I'm not sure about the rest of the park....we watched for 7 hrs...and yes we were kid free...:):)
