Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

It's exactly the same mug at both Swan and Dolphin. Let me look at coffee types tomorrow morning when I pass Java Bar tomorrow and let you know.
The rooms have Starbucks but the Java Bar, and I suppose the Lobby Lounge at the Dolphin, have Lavazza. At least last time I was there.

Picabu also has Starbucks. I always get a refillable cup there and use it for all the self serve beverages.

What toiletries are offered at the Swan? Does anyone have a picture of what they provide?

It's the White Tea products carried by all Westin properties. We really like the scent...when we use it at home, it reminds us of being at Disney.

Ok, awesome. Thank you so much. My only other question is does housekeeping replenish what you need daily? Or give you extras if you need it? With four of us, I'm afraid that will not get us far each day.

Housekeeping will give you as much of anything you want, as often as you want. Toiletries, towels, coffee, anything.

I am hoping to go to the swan or dolphin in November with Starwood points. There will be three families, some children(11,10,7,1). Is one of the hotels better than the other for us with kids? I have stayed on many disney properties, but never at the swan or dolphin. Also we haven't been in 6 yrs so much changes. I see they don't let you do grocery deliveries as they want you to buy from their pantry, but the choices aren't what I need, as milk, cereal, bread, cold cuts ,wine, etc. what is the best way to get them?? Rent a car and make a grocery stop? In the past the garden grocer worked so well for us. Also, if I don't have enough points and have to pay for a couple of nights how are all you people getting the extra discounts and price drops in rooms? Where do I see prices and watch for drops?, on the disney site, the Starwood site or the triple aaa site?? Thanks in advance

I book on the Starwood site with either a nurse or AAA discount. Then I check the site for price changes.

I am trying to read up on the MDE and what you do with it. I am confused on one thing, ( well I am sure it is more than 1 thing!). There will be 11 of us in four rooms does each room sign up for MDE or do I add all 11 to mine. If we do it by room, then sign up for fast passes and want to go together how does that work? Yet if I put all 11 on mine and we separate for meals etc, will they be able to use their bracelet for their own charge??? Confused. Thanks!

From what I know, each family in their own room (are you all at Swan/Dolphin?) should sign up for your MDE acct by room, since you need all names etc on each res. registered. And you won't need Magic Bands for charging since those are for onsite hotels only-if you have them already linked and want to use them for your park tickets that will work- for fastpasses, I think if you all try for the same time frame at once it should work(?) but I'm not sure about that.....

Okay that makes sense. So each room signs up for MDE and we will try to coordinate fast pass times. Do you need magic and for fast passes? If I eat at the dolphin can I charge to my magic and, and does it work for room key?? If not, what would someone staying at the dolphin use a magic band for?? They didn't have them last time I was there so I am confused about them. What little I did read on them sounded good to use for everything , but unsure what good it is to me if at the dolphin. Thank you again

Do you need magic and for fast passes?

No.

If I eat at the dolphin can I charge to my magic and,

No.

and does it work for room key?

No.

If not, what would someone staying at the dolphin use a magic band for??

Park entry and for entrance to your FP+ times. But they are not necessary for either of these, but they can be used for it. They are good for all of the above if you are staying at a WDW owned resort.

We are booked in an executive suite (all I know is that its 300sf bedroom and 600sf living area) at the Swan for Fall Food and WIne....does anyone have pictures of this suite....I looked through the early pages and didn't find anything.
Any leads would be appreciated.
Anita

THanks so much Cloudy.
Early this year I looked for pics on the site...guess I totally missed this.
I think we got a good price...with tax and room charge $469 a night.
We needed the third bed...
