Walt Disney World begins MyMagic+ testing for Annual Passholders

We have Annual Passes (regular, not Florida).

We were able to book FP+ 60 days out for every day of our continuous 10-day, onsite stay in November.

I would be surprised (although DW seems full of surprises lately ;)) if the MDX design was for onsite APs to have less access than other onsite guests.

I feel badly for those APs who were onsite and were limited to 7 days rolling. :flower3:

That's because you were booking FP+ under a resort stay. The new rollout is for AP holders who are NOT staying onsite. Onsite guests are treated equally no matter what pass you have as long as you have one.

AP holders not staying onsite simply have a shorter advance window and are limited to holding 7 days worth of reservations at once. This seems like a fair starting point until Disney learns the booking habits of AP holders. There is a risk that AP holders will book up reservations and not use them as many AP holders visit casually and not part of a carefully scheduled vacation.

Let's see how it works...

I am a DVC member and occasional AP holder (it depends on our plans for the next year) and I have a hard time feeling sorry for anyone who has a stay of more than 7 park days. If you can't do most everything you want to do in that amount of time, even at the busiest times of year, you can't be trying very hard.

We almost never have trips that long, but I would think a longer stay with an AP would lend itself well to FP+. You could take a few days to sleep a little later or do something else in the morning (like play golf) and still have a few rides lined up for the evening.

Unless and until the availability of FPs becomes scarce more than a week ahead of time, the rolling 7 day limit should not be too much trouble for anyone.

Seems worth it to book a one night stay and be able to book as many FP+ as you want with your AP.

We have been using the MB's now for a few months too... I can book FP+ as far out as March 29th. So I'm not clear why any AP staying onsite wouldn't get the length of stay FP's?
