I wasn't expecting or thinking Disney would release that kind of information but I keep hearing people state overruns at Shanghai as the reason for cutbacks at WDW. If one is not part of the executive suite they would have no idea as to what the budget strategy is. I have never heard anything disclosed by Disney and thought that I may have missed it, so many people state it as fact. The top line for Disney is doing great but what really matters is the bottom line. That is what drives the cuts, there is plenty of money to cover the overruns and maintain or improve the domestic parks. Of course it's only a guess, as is everyone's, but I would be willing to bet that the cuts have to do with executive bonuses.
