I'm seeking a new pair of walking sandals to purchase now and break in for our next Disney trip.

I am prone to blisters (on the bottoms & tops of my toes, tops of my heels, tops of my feet where a sandal strap goes.

I"m not a terribly active person, but I have recently started using the treadmill over the past month so I'm hoping to be considered more active over the next few months!!

Anyways, I'm looking into Keens brand sandals: either the Newports or the Venice h2's.......what is the difference between the two sandals? Which would you prefer to wear on vacations where lots of walking is involved, like a WDW trip?

Also, would leather sandals cause more blisters than non-leather ones?

Any advice is much appreciated-thanks!!

I have both a pair of Newport H2s and 2 pair of Venice H2s. I prefer the Venice. They have more space between the straps, and just fit my foot better. And they are a little cooler.

I have the Whisper. Never tried on the other two so I'm probably no help, but throwing out another option to confuse you even more I suppose ;). I have no problems walking around all day in my Keens.

I adore the Venice style, but have never tried any other.

Another good walking sandal is the Teva Terra Fi. It has enough padding on the top strap and ankle strap to protect from rubbing, although you still need to get your feet used to them for all the walking you'd do at WDW.

I do better walking in the Tevas than I do wearing a good sneaker.

I have newports and whispers. I think I prefer the whispers. (but its almost too close to call) They feel a bit lighter than the newports.

I have 2 pairs of Keens, but I don't know what type.

My advice, based upon my personal preference, is to go for full toe protection and the most straps. Then you are ready to wear them anywhere, for any activity. I wear mine for everything, including camping and hiking in the summer. The less-strappy pair I have lets more dirt and stones in.

I love my newports! I bought the girls size 6 and I'm a ladies 8, much cheaper and my girls and I had matching shoes for one summer.

I had the Newports but they bothered my feet.

Initially I didin't like the Venice but once I tried them on, they never came off. I go for walks in them-like 2-3 mile walks. I have never had a problem with my feet.

Like a PP said there is more air flow with them. My kids have the Neworts & love them. My youngest has chunky feet so they didn't work well for her 2 years ago & caused rubbing & blisters.

This summer will be my 3rd year wearing them. The same shoes & I wear them every day in the summer/warmer weather.

I miss the old style Teva Simply Rugged's with the cork footbed. They were the most comfortable sandals ever!!! I got the newer version when we went to Disney and had issues with blisters, which I never had with the old style ones.

I just bought a pair of Keen Knock-offs from Kohl's for our trip to Arizona. They seem very comfortable but I don't know if they would be great for Disney style walking.

Ditto! I loved my 1st pair of Teva's, but the ones I got after the 1st pair died (after three years of heavy summertime use!) weren't nearly as good and gave me blisters.

I'm going to WDW in May and am starting to think footware. I can't decide if I want to try and find a good walking sandle or if I should go for a good sport shoe (I've started working out again so I can use them for that in addition to the trip).
