Walking from RPR to IOA

I tried the search function several ways but can't seem to find the info I need.....

We are checking in early at RPR to take advantage of the early access to WWoHP. We plan to just walk over to IOA once we get our keys. I thought someone posted a short cut for walking over to IOA. I seem to even remember a map that illustrated it.

Is this shortcut I'm thinking of for RPR or one of the other on-site hotels? If so, could someone share?

Also, what time do you think we should arrive for check in so that we may still be ahead of the on-site crowds for early opening?

Not really a short cut but if you leave from the lobby there is a path/sidewalk on the left just before you get to the road in front of the parking lot. Walk down the path, take a right at the canal where the boats run and you will end up at Citywalk next to IOA in 10 about minutes.

Faster than waiting for the boat if you are not tired - its a very pretty walk too.

I think the short cut you are referring to is from Portofino Hotel.
