Hello walkers:
Well we did 3 miles yesterday. Temp was good. If its too hot I get a massive headache if I overheat. No amount of water will help. I will get some supplements and see if they work better for me. I think the dehydration problem is a factor in my performance.
Last week we walked in the rain and it was heaven. I have to get back up to speed and my 5-6 miles of training. This weekend I want to try a road course of 6 miles to see how my speed is. All my miles above 3 are on the track and those conditions are ideal but I need to be in the real world. Thunder showers are predicted for tonight so I may end up inside on the TM or Ellip.
Thursday here in town we have the CIGNA 5k race. Weather prediction is dry and 74! What a blessing. Last time I was in that, it was so hot, someone actually passed away on the course. They have a walker division, the power walkers and strolling.
