Wal-Mart vacations?

the prices seem better

I priced our vacation on there... compared to booking it through disney.

It didn't include the dining plan (not sure if I could get it if I called teh 1-800 number) but... it came to about a 700 difference in price (if we can get the dining plan with it - we added that amount).

Thanks for the link. There's some possible savings here!

Can someone tell us for absolute sure whether you can get the dining plan with this deal? And, if so, how would you go about doing it?

If we can do this, it would probably mean a resort upgrade for us.......

I priced a possible December trip through Walmart and then through Disney and Disney's price for the same exact trip was $697.82 CHEAPER than Walmart. Go figure. LOL

Hey, I WORK at Walmart and I didn't know they sold DW trips! like you said, is there anything Walmart doesn't sell?

Do they have something to do with Lowes or does Lowes just follow them wherever they build?

Anyway, I do know we got a great rate on Budget rental car a few years ago by using Wal-Mart's code on the Budget website.

I tried this and could not get any available dates for our trip in August. Seemed like a waste of time.

I didn't notice any way to opt out of the airfare. It seems their prices are significantly higher than I found elsewhere.

Air fare - and when I called I got a total run around if I didnt want it.

If you read through it says that it includes ticket (not dining although it doesnt point that out) and that it is a per person rate.

It says 3 nights from... SO this would imply cheapest possible meaning value season. Well POP in value season is only 79 a night so lets say 90 with tax X 3 nights is 270. Add an adult base ticket which is around 200 and that is only 470. That leave a 30 dollar difference for air fare...but Again the from It probably greatly increases to get from YOUR city to there.

Okay I just clicked for the actual quote and it said 439 per person Room and Flight only. So that was 1756 total. Add on my tickets for 760? and my dining about 800 and we have 3216. About 1000 for airfare for 4 people. Uh we'll drive and take our aaa package. I really dont think it looks like there are any real deals here. Other than possible on airfare but definitely not in my case.

Hey Kydisneyfans....You are SO right! I don't even buy clothes there but don't tell my boss ok? HAHA!

I love to shop at Wal-Mart for a lot of things, but am not impressed with their clothing (go Kohl's) or meat department.

We made our reservations through AAA and when I compared the rates for Wal-Mart's offer, it was about $200 higher than what we paid, and the available flight times weren't as good.

If you look closely, the vacation is actually through "Vacation Outlet" which is a company in Massachusetts. Part of National Leisure Group which owns a number of Travel Companies/Brands. I believe it's a license agreement through Walmart, and they also offer vacations through BJ's Wholesale.
