Waitlisting questions

If you have an existing reservation but you are on the waitlist for another resort, what happens if:

The room you are waitlisting for is for less points than your current reservation. Do the difference in points go into a hold account?

Only one or a few of the nights come available. Could you possibly wind up with a 3-1-3 stay? Or if you are #1 on the list and want a Fri-Sat-Sun stay and #2 wants Sat-Sun-Mon. If a Sat-Mon becomes available, do you get the 2 nights or does #2 get all 3?

If you are within the 30 day window, then yes the points will go in holding. If you are more than 30 days away they are 'normal left over points', you can use them as any other points. If you are within the correct banking timeframes you can bank them.

Your 2nd part all depends on how you set up the wait list. If you want you can wait until the entire time is available then 'switch' to the new location. You can have MS do any days that are available, but you can end up with the 3-1-3 or 1-1-1-1-1-1-etc.
So be careful how you request this.
