well soon to be....We were waitlisted today for VWL after consideration for
ssr we opted to go with vwl becasue we both just loved it there after renting points last december....
think its justified choosing this over ssr? where we could have gotten for 84.00 rather than 89 because we were selfish in picking where to call home...
I wanted more than anything to call the lodge home over all others

now begins the waiting game

I just went through the same thing, but, I chose the BWV. I waited for a couple of nailbiting weeks but my paperwork came today. You will be happy with your choice and hopefully won't have to wait too long.

llrain - Tell me again - you are waitlisted to purchase points for WLV? And they are selling for $89 per point? Did they say what use years have points available, if any? thanks, Candace

How many use years did you waitlist for? The more flexible you are in use years, the shorter time your wait will be. I don't think you will have to wait too long, though.

Congratulations!!! You're gonna love owning there!!!

Im assuming she waitlisted for any month/year...she wasnt specific...(we are newbies at this too)

yes we are waitlisted for purchasing new....never have been a member before and we were told 89 point ...we asked if the all other resorts other than saratoga were 89 and they were compared to 95 at saratoga im assuming cause there are less lives left in the older ones?

Yes, it's justified over SSR for you, since you obviously enjoy the WL/VWL theming and setting. It's the smallest of the DVC resorts and therefore can be difficult at times to book without the home booking advantage.

BTW, I think you made an awesome choice. We're VWL owners and have thoroughly enjoyed our ownership! :)

I purchased at VWL via TTS, 200 pts, Aug UY, $76 a point.

Closing is happening this week. It all went very smoothly.

Who through? Disney?

We just bought for VWL as well through The Timeshare Store @ $77 per point, 170 points! We're just waiting for our deed!!!!

If I recall I think the closing costs were in the $400 range.

we cannot go through the timeshare store because we do not have all the cash to pay up front...we cannot get an equity loan cause we havent even been here for a year at new home so we have to go through disney

I believe there is some third party financing available if you buy a resale. Possibly through Tammac? The folks at TTS can provide you with information about this.

You're right, there is someone they use financing-wise and I believe the name you mentioned waa right!!!

We purchased at VWL too. 200 points at $74. August UY. Through the TTS. Very happy!

I love VWL! I was fortunate to buy when that is what they were selling. I paid $72 a point (250) in 2001 so that's a pretty good investment.
Certainly better then my stocks did!

I bought from the TSS also, 66 a point in 2002, then added on direct through Disney at 80 or 84 then again at 89. We love VWL!!!
