Can I change my wait list resort to a different resort? I am currently waitlisting BCV 2bedroom and 2 bedroom lockoff but I want to change it to BWV because i think my chances are better with it being a bigger resort

The only modification you can make to a wait list is the expiration (31 or 7 days from check in). Any other changes require that the wait list be cancelled and a new one entered which moves you to the bottom of the list.

You could change one, esp since BWV only has 2bedroom lock offs. I would go with the garden pool view. Standard and boardwalk view categories are smaller (about 20% each which pool garden view is about 60% of the rooms)

But with the refurb at BCV, they might open up batches of rooms that are not available at this time. Keep watching the availability everyday yourself. I don't know if I would want to go to the bottom of the list. I would keep one at BCV and as n2mm said, do one at BWV garden view. Still, you should stalk the availability yourself.

During the refurb process, they most likely keep the same number of villas out of service. As they finish a "batch" they just move on to the next. So availability stays the same. More people who have booked at BCV may get a newly refurbished room as the refurb progresses, but there won't actually be more availability until they get to the end. I do not think batches will be released for booking until near the end of the refurb, when they are finishing up the last group.

IMO, a Pool/Garden waitlist at BWV has a better chance of coming through than any of the BCV 2 bedroom booking categories the OP currently has waitlisted. But I also think that the OP should keep checking herself. :)

Do you know when the expected completion is scheduled for?

Interesting. That's not the way MS explained it to me when I called them for our Thanksgiving trip last year. For BWV they told me that batches were released. She said these batches were not previously booked or put aside for anything previously booked, so they just open them up when they are ready. So first come, first serve if you got the rooms before they went through the waitlist system. As a matter of fact days went by before the waitlist system even picked any up (which quite honestly ticks me off).

Now, we all know sometimes MS talks out of the side of their mouth, so I have no idea if this is how it really works. :confused3
