Waitlist for Thanksgiving at OKW?

I'm on the waitlist for Thanksgiving week at OKW for a 1 bedroom (Sun-Saturday). Apparently everything at DVC is booked for Wed. and Thursday. Has anyone had any luck with the waitlist for holiday weeks?

Me too!! We are buying points from my DH's boss and those are the days we need desparately!! We are new to this and like dummies didn't realize how quickly they book up and roped our in laws into going at that time with us. They now have non refundable tickets with a promise of a very cheap room (cheaper than the values that we normally stay at) Duh!!

I wait listed for Wed/Thu the day ms opened for 7 month reservations and have received my match for Wed but not yet Thursday. I was able to book it through ms for cash so at least I won't have to move, but I don't have it for points yet. it's just a waiting game. Good luck!

I also am on the waiting list for Thursday night, but haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully, we will soon and not spend Thanksgiving on the road!

Can I ask what MS for cash means?? We are so newbies my above post states so TIA.
Could you do this and still stay in the same room the entire time (the days I need fall in the middle of my trip)

Got points for 2BR at SSR Sun, Mon and Tue. We are on the wait list for Wed and Thur. We got a 2BR at OKW for member discount Cash for Wed and Thurs, so we have to change resorts unless the Waitlist comes through (cross fingers).

Heath Dog - There are separate inventories for points rooms, cash rooms, and member discount rooms. You can try for cash, or discount cash rooms if no points rooms are available. At first, I had cash rooms at OKW for Wed and THur, then I called back another day and member discount rooms had become available at OKW for Wed and THur. Now I am on the list for point rooms to come through at OKW or SSR for Wed and THurs.

Yes, I got it a day or so after I originally had the full cash rate (over $600). The 2BR discount is $457 plus tax.

I have been told no discount available for our cash night, but to keep trying.
