Just wondering how often some check to get the reservation they wanted. And do you check once a week, everyday etc...

This would be for Le Cellier for lunch and an earlier dinner at Ohana. We currently have 9:00 at Ohana. Though that one is growing on me with that being an EMH day at MK as well.

But I guess I will just keep checking...:hippie:

I check every day at least once....I'm trying to get a ressie for The Garden Grill in Epcot and since the 180 window just opened, everything is full. I'm hoping some people change their mind about going, because we've wanted to go for years and are hoping to finally do it. Have fond memories of that place...

Try checking at different times of the day also. I had to change my Ohana's reservation last year and ended up getting the exact time I wanted just about a month before..so don't give up.

Also, check over on the restaurant sub forum for reservations. People post when they are cancelling.

I had the best luck checking every day about 3-4 weeks before our vacation. The final schedule for the parks was set and it seemed that a lot reservations seemed to open up around that time. I would check a couple times a day.

Also, see the Dining Reservations Board here on the DIS. there's a thread where people post their dining cancellations.

All you can do is keep checking back.

Just over 90 days out, 'Ohana was booked. I checked 8-10 times a day for about a week and got a 6:30.

It seems like a lot, but I work in front of a computer, and the average time for me from browser open to close was about 90 seconds.

Also, I figured the sooner I find something, the sooner I'm done with that foolishness :-)

i check pretty regularly as well - it varies, may be several times a day or a few times of week just depending on how often i get the chance and how often i go into panic mode and go a little crazy. we've been lucky but we also don't always eat at traditional times but base it on what we're doing/where we're going. like on an emh night we'll eat dinner earlier anywhere from 3-6pm but during the winter when the parks close early we wait til park closing to eat around 8-930pm so it stretches our magic a little longer and we don't feel like we're giving up park time.

good luck with le cellier for lunch, everyone still wants to go but no one wants to use 2 credits for dinner there with basically the same menu. i wanted the same thing and (thankfully) was talked into getting up at 6-ish in the morning and doing that adr 1st on our 180 day mark for our 7 day trip this winter but still had trouble getting the times we wanted for two others so hang in there and have a back up booked that you'll be happy with just in case.

Thank You, I will definitely check that forum.

This shows there is hope.

OMG! I better step it up. I was doing like a couple times a week. :sad2:

I've moved this thread to the Restaurants board. :)

Thank You!

Yes, I am almost OK with the 9'ish dinner at Ohana since it does have EMH that day. We are having an earlky lunch and I figure if I do end up with this time, we can come back to the resort to relax. Then do a late dinner and later night at MK. :goodvibes

check often, but best luck within 30 day window prior to your trip. good luck though wish they would make everyone not double or triple or more book pert ressie though!!
