We actually ended up Meeting Mary Poppins right there on accident! We were just standing there and then she walked up! So we got to meet her, and were the first ones! LOL! I had REALLY wanted to ask her to say that backwards too, but I decided against it, I didnt want to take too much time. Now I wish I had!

Your poor anniversary meal! Sorry you were missing your other half! But the meal looked yummy and you ended up with your curbside spot for the parade!! I swear this day is going EXACTLY how you imagined and hoped, minus Rich not making it!

Yeah I think Rope Drop only works well when you schedule mid day breaks. Especially with littles in tow.

yes, definitely need breaks to do rope drop, at least while the kids are so little. it was a good morning getting to things though! I might try to do it again at least once a trip.

Kenny the pirate is usually right on with his info. not sure why it was off this time, last trip it was all great. I'm thinking things might get changed with all the construction, etc. i'd just double check with the info at the park when you get there.

Yay Peter Pan! Aww it's sweet that Maddie was starstruck I guess it happens to all of us around our favourite characters! Those pictures are so cute, I bet he loved her shirt I still haven't met him yet! He's definitely on my list though.

Awww bless you for being on your anniversary date with your park bag I bet hubby was with you in spirit! I'm sure he was thinking that he'd rather be at MK with you all than stuck at airports

Excited for your parade update!

peter is such a fun meet! the first time we met him, we called Madison "mad" for short and he wanted to know if she was angry all the time and gave us his whole theory that girls resemble their names....like girls who are named brooke and gabby talk a lot. it was so funny. when we met him with wendy, they really interacted well with each other and the girls. he's always a great meet!

All my trips to Disney and I still have never eaten at Tony's. Might be one of the few restaurants I have not tried that I would like to- Maybe someday if I get back on the dining plan I will give it a go!

aren't they awesome? I was surprised with how many pictures we got from there and how great they all were! they had a great photographer with peter that day, for sure!

we liked tony's a lot. I think it was sort of heavy for me for such a hot day, but it was really good! and that tiramisu.....

What a fabulous morning!! I love your meet and greets! The girls really do look like they're having a fabulous time! I love how Maddie was tongue-tied around Peter. Both of my girls instantly turn so shy as soon as they're up with their beloved characters. That's about the only time in their lives that they're speechless!

And I know if we didn't throw in a few napping hours in our day, I don't think we would be rope drop fans either. We need those few hours, especially when it's super hot outside!

I can't say I wasn't annoyed, but there was no Disney violence from me that day! although I have warned him that he is officially the villain of this story right now!

isn't it so cute how they can't get a word out when they meet the characters? Hannah has gotten a little better, but maddie always has all these plans to sing a song or tell them something and then when we get there...poof! ability to speak, gone!

rope drop is hard! I still don't know how we got up so early and actually made it--it had to be adrenaline! I clearly didn't have the same feeling later in the trip after being out all night for the Halloween party!

we didn't used to do many m&g's but they are fun with the kids. it took us awhile to get the meets worked into our trips, but they are a good excuse to go back!

isn't it great? I couldn't believe how magical our peter meet--and mary poppins meet--was!

usually you can trust Kenny the pirates info. my guess is with the construction going on, it's hard to keep up with changes.

tony's was a really good new experience--id definitely eat there again. also, I loved where our table was. the view out onto main street was beautiful. if you could get a seat near the window or onto the patio, it'd be an awesome place to sit for a parade!

i don't really know what their costumes are all about, but i think they are so pretty! this girl came over and gave the girls a wink and asked if they were having fun. i think they were pretty surprised that someone in the parade talked to them!

after the parade was over, we had to do some shopping. i had promised hannah that she could get an ear hat this trip. maddie was wearing her sparkle minnie ears, but i had a feeling she'd want to do some shopping too. we walked over to the chapeau and looked around. i thought for sure hannah would want something with goofy or donald, and she tried on lots (and i was sure was getting lice), but she surprised me and wanted a princess ear hat with a veil. maddie of course had to have a new princess hat too and tried on more (lice ridden) hats. she loved a different one with the veil and had to have it. sixty bucks later we were done. look at those smiling faces! you would have bought them too......right? i'm not the only sucker at disney, right?

we had another meet we wanted to do, but had some time before it. there was a short wait at it's a small world and we hadn't ridden yet, so we headed over. it was about a 20 minute wait, then we were headed out on

i have to tell you......i do not like this ride. i do not like the song. i do not like singing the song constantly after riding. but rich and the girls love this ride, so it's a must do. i do, however, find these tiki guys kind of cute!

after our ride, we headed over to liberty square to meet up with tiana and naveen! we've been trying to meet them since our very first trip with the girls, so this was a must do also!

we were early, so we joined the line. i was glad when the CM told us we would definitely get to see them. oh, yes, i asked. i couldn't disappoint the girls again! luckily, we were surrounded by the nicest disney people. we all chatted and the time passed pretty fast.

they talked about all sorts of things, but maddie was a little nervous about meeting naveen for some reason so she wasn't a big talker. they asked where we were from and when hannah answered st louis, they asked what the best food there was. maddie did speak up then and tell them gooey butter cake. they said they'd never had that, but would have to try it sometime. how cute is tiana? this was such a great meet!

i also just loved this picture of hannah that the photographer took. it's from a different picture and i zoomed in so it's not the greatest quality, but i love it. is she not the cutest thing ever??!!!!!?

WE BOOKED OUR DISNEY CRUISE FOR SEPTEMBER 2015!!!!!

i'm so excited!!! if I start a cruise PTR ("if", you know I will!), i'll post a link here. I hope you'll all join me for that too.

and, even more exciting, we had planned on going in October, but booked September instead, so we get to go even sooner!

now, i'm cuddling up to watch maleficent--I love that movie!

OMG - your lice comment cracked me UP! I thought I was the only person who had that thought. I always read all these TRs with trying on hats, and honestly, Willow will occasionally do it. And my first thought is always, “OMG - LICE!!!!” I feel a tiny bit less crazy right now. Thank you!

Oh, I’m so glad you did the meet-and-greet at Storybook Circus - when we were there in 2013, we just LOVED that new (well, at the time new) meet-and-greet. So glad all you girls enjoyed it too! The pics of Hannah with Goofy are so great!

I’m with you on iasw - I don’t HATE it and it doesn’t freak me out, but I would not be sad to skip it. Interestingly, Willow has never liked it. She finds it boring and confusing. From her first ride experience, she was always looking for bigger and faster. Boats with dolls just don’t do it for her.

Love the Tiana and Naveen pics. We have never had anything but great meets with Tiana. She is one of the most underrated princesses ever. And I don’t say that just because she is one of my faves.

Yay for a DCL cruise! You know I approve of that!!!!!

Based on others as well it seems like the non-character performers definitely interact with the crowd more with this parade than others - but can definitely see being a bit thrown off if you are not expecting it!

You are definitely not the only Disney Sucker ... though I prefer to think of it as "sniffing the pixie dust"

Love the Tiana and Naveen M&G! They are so great and seem to have a knack for getting kids to talk

and Yeah for booking for your first Disney cruise! Totally want to do that some day - figure wait until all the kids are old enough for the kids club so we can get a break from them
