Excited for your quilting trip! Can't wait to hear all about it!
I hope you have a fantastic time on your quilting trip.
My parents came over this weekend to do some garage sales. My mom is a quilter and my dad has made a quilting room for her at every house she has lived in. My mom has floor to ceiling book cases along one of the bedroom walls. All of her material is pressed and folded and stacked into squares. Then she color coordinates it. She really is OCD. Anyway, my dad has told her no more material. She has a couple of bins still that will not fit. She has one wall that is floor to window with shelving. So, we are out at a neighborhood garage sale and I have lost my parents somewhere. I come to one, where the woman quilts. Anyway, she has a bin of fabric, the cotton blend that my mom uses, and she wants $1.00 per plastic grocery bag. So, I go looking for my mom. She is 2 houses down, so I shout for her. She comes over and sees it. She hands me her purse and tells me to distract my dad.You can never have too much fabric. My dad was just
. Guess he will have to start working on a bigger room for her fabric.

Hope you get the car situations all settled.. what a PITA!!!! Cleaning? What's that???
I feel your pain with the housework. It keeps rearing its ugly head in my life too. Takes way more time than I like.
Here is another example of someone screwing up and you having to jump through all the hoops to get it rectified! How can they be so inept as to put your car in Charlie's name??? Makes you want to scream. When we sold Dan's car last year, the new owner couldn't get a license plate for it b/c the title company said we didn't own the car, the dealership did. So, Dan had to go to the dealership where we bought the car 10 years before and get it straightened out. He had to contact the attorney general of Ohio no less!!! All because of a mistake by the dealership. I mean we had the title for the car, but the paperwork never got filed I guess. Hope yours resolves much easier!!
This whole process has been screwed up and its all the dealership's fault. They switched the tags - instead of putting my tag on my car, they put it on Charlie's car, so there was additional paperwork to transfer the tags - instead of just doing it right in the beginning. That started the process of getting the name wrong on the title. The woman at the dealership admitted it was her fault. Then there was the fiasco with the spare key. I was supposed to get a spare key when we picked up the cars, but the dealer didn't have one. Why they didn't just program one while we were sitting there for 2 hours is beyond me and the excuse I got was that we needed to make an appointment to have the key made. How would I know I needed to make an appointment BEFORE I got the car???? Anyway, I was not going to take 2 hours off work to go back to that dealer to get a key made, so they told me to take it to another Ford dealer. Ok, so I called the local dealership, made an appointment for that afternoon, after work. I got an estimate from them and it was about $92. Unfortunately, the guy I talked to misunderstood me and thought I had a 2005 Focus. My car is a 2012, so the actual price for the key was $234!!!!!I sent the invoice to the original dealership for reimbursement. I better have a check waiting for me when I get home next week or else.
I can't wait to see Meg's dress! She is going to flip out for sure. So is Mo for that matter!
I hope you have a ton of fun on your quilting trip. How long does it take you to get there? I'm sure your ladies will not care what you work on while you're there. Sounds like a great group of friends!
I'm all packed and ready to go! It will take me about 6 hours to get to my friend's house south of Knoxville. On Sunday morning we will head over to Cosby (in the Smokey Mtns) which is about an hour from my friend's house.[
I'm up for a sewing get-together whenever you want to! Have sewing machine, will travel!/COLOR]
Well, time to get Dan's breakfast and then pack his lunch. He's lucky to get a lunch at his desk these days, never mind going anywhere. He's one busy guy!! Have a wonderful day!

How do you screw up the paperwork on the cars? Seriously, people just don't pay attention.
Hope you are having fun on your quilting trip.

I'm joining in for the ride! Must go back and read it all, now!![]()

, and ribbon roses and it is finished. Finished up pillowcases for Terri's girls and worked on a row by row that that group did.

. Played with her animals (she lives on 8 acres, has 3 cats, 1 dog and 3 horses), picked blueberries - omg if you have never had blueberries fresh off the bush, you don't know what you are missing. The store-bought ones are nasty compared to these! Had dinner with Sandy, her husband Bob and her Mama, Carol. Waited for another member of our group to arrive - Kala - she finally got there about 9 pm. By that time I was so tired, I went to bed. We had planned to leave by 9 am to head to Cosby, TN where the quilt retreat house is located - east of Sevierville, if you've ever been to East Tennessee. I rolled out of bed at 8:45 - must have been really tired. We got to Holloway's (the retreat place) about 11 am. Everyone started showing up around the same time. We unloaded the cars, claimed our beds and our sewing tables and got right down to sewing. After all, we only had a week!
We turned on the tv to watch the weather report - it seemed like the line of severe thunderstorms were headed right toward us. Every single one of our phones went off with severe weather alerts. We were warned to head for shelter, except we really didn't have anywhere to go - we later found out there is a storm cellar under the house, but we did not know that at the time. Decided we would all gather in one of the bedrooms and put the mattresses up against the windows, once the storm reached us.
I would be scared!!!! Glad you were all safe and no crazy weather!!

Toy Story! Can't wait to see pictures of this!
(yeah, like I wouldn't be here most days anyway, right???)

I still have to order the cake, but will do that one day this week or next.
Now I know I will find it. I finished 2 more t-shirts - these are for our Universal days. I also ordered a couple pairs of shorts that I needed. Once they come and I find my camera, I'll take pictures of our outfits. I don't have any fancy headgear like D~, mainly because I need to wear a hat with a brim, but I do have a couple of pairs of ears.
