I didn't actually get much down outside, but it sure felt good to be out - unlike today where we have a frost warning!!! What's up with that????

I'm glad you had a good weekend and that you had a good visit with Jim and Kat.

We did have a good weekend and a good visit. Jim is coming back up to PA today - he's actually going to the Oriole game with a friend and then going to his son's house to stay over the weekend. I believe my nephew and his family are going to Chicago this weekend to visit his dad.

So, we will be seeing Jim on Saturday if not before. I really miss my big brother! He was in the Marines for 20+ years, so he wasn't around much when I was growing up - he is 6 years older than me and went into the Marines when he turned 17. It was always a treat when he came home for a visit. Once he retired from the Marines he moved close to us and lived here for 20 years. After he retired from his 2nd job, he moved to Hawaii to be close to Gwen's mother. I was very sad when they moved and have missed them both terribly. Hopefully it won't be long until his house sells and he can move back permanently.

Anyway, I have some Disney news!!! Finally was able to book the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party! It's supposed to be available at 180 days, but because of the MNSSHP, it was not available until the dates for the party were determined. Although I heard several different stories about why the TTDP was not available, but we won't go into that discussion here.

And the best part is that Mo is booked for the same party!!!! I get to help the munchkins celebrate their 10th birthday!!!! I am so excited!!

Then Charlie starts talking about adding more points - at the Animal Kingdom Lodge - WHAT????? We can't do anything until after we get a new car, and since we are saving for that right now, its out of the question - at least for now. But that would solve a major problem with our family trip next year.

My sister told me that my niece really wants to go, which is fantastic, except she has 6 kids which means that they pretty much need to have a 2 bedroom just for them and there was no way we had enough points for a 3rd 2 bedroom - even with borrowing points from the following year.

I really don't want to wish my summer away, since it is my favorite season, but I want to go back to Disney.....:wizard:

I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW EXCITED I AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you SO SO much for calling me!!! i can't wait for ALL OF THIS!!!

You have all kinds of good news!!! Im so happy you get to see your Brother! Then next month your Daughter!!! popcorn::

Fantastic!!!

Happy Easter my friend!!!

That would be awesome if you could have your entire family there though!

I sure hope that Jim is able to move back home soon - I am certain he wants to be with you as much as you want to be with him. :lovestruc

We are getting so close Tess!!!! I am super excited to finally get to meet you!!!

38 days... :woohoo:

I hope you have a fantastic Easter!

D~

Sorry I've been missing (Mark had his surgery and we had a busy weekend).

I'm so happy you are going to see your brother! :)

I still have not been able to get the dessert party. I've been trying the last four years and no luck. Didn't get it again for September. :(

Hope you had a great Easter.

It's been a while since I've checked in. So glad Kat is doing so well and that Jim was able to be there for her. I'm glad you had a good visit. I also hope he sells his house quickly and can move closer to family. My brother died when I was 21 and he was 18 and I still miss him.

How fun to book the dessert party after all this agony of waiting!! And with Mo and fam, even better! That will be one rockin' birthday celebration!!

Have you settled on your costumes for MNSSHP? If you posted and I missed it, I do apologize. Sometimes I miss things.:upsidedow

I hope you are feeling better and better every day. I would think the plane ride to Atlanta would have hurt with all that pressure in the airplane. Glad you passed on that, even though you were looking forward to it. And what the dr did to you sounds brutal! I hate that you have to go through it again. But, whatever it takes to get better I guess. Hang in there my friend.

Just found out that Jim has sold his house in Hawaii and will be back on the mainland by the end of MAY!!!!

I'm so excited.....

Healthwise, I'm doing ok. Still have some pain in my nose, but it is getting better each day. I have another follow up appointment on Friday.

Waiting for the MNSSHP dates to open so I can call and get my tickets. I will also be getting tickets for the Wild Africa Trek for Charlie for his birthday, Behind the Seeds tour and the memory maker when I call.

Now, I'm rethinking some of our dinner reservations........... I guess I've had too much time on my hands lately.

That is WONDERFUL news!!! I am sure it will be hard for him to leave Hawaii, as I am sure he has many wonderful memories there, but I am also sure it will be wonderful for him to be surrounded by his family again.

So glad you are starting to feel better.... I sure hope you are better before Chicago!

I hope your MNSSHP tickets are released soon... I wish we were there during that - I think we JUST miss it. Sigh.

D~

Great news about Jim.

I'm glad you are feeling better.

MNSSHP dates released. Tickets go on sale Monday.

Somehow I missed the news about Jim's house selling. He'll be back "home" pretty soon now. I'm so glad.

I'm also so glad that Kat is doing so well after her final surgery. That young lady has been through so much and has really been such an inspiration to all of us on how she faced everything head on and fought her way through it. She is a rock star!!

I hope you're feeling better yourself now. How is Mark doing? Okay gotta go get something done today. It's just too easy to sit on the DIS all day! Have a great weekend and a fabulous Mother's Day!!

I have been sadly neglecting my own PTR, but now I have an update!

Not sure if I posted this yet and I'm too lazy to go back and check - MNSSHP tickets are purchased as well as tickets for Mo's gang! YAY!!! Now to get the t-shirts made for our costumes. I have been neglecting my sewing room too, and with the warmer weather, finally, we have been working outside trying to get the gardens in shape. Lots more work to do, but I have a free weekend coming up, so I hope to get something done.

Second bit of news. I bought tickets for the Wild Africa Trek for Charlie's birthday present. He is thrilled! We spotted a group on the trek when we were in the Animal Kingdom in March and he said it looked like a fun time. Its so hard to buy him anything, so I thought this would be fun.

Still have to buy the Memory Maker, but that should be it. I have new tshirts to make for both of us and a few other things, so I really do need to buckle down.

Kat is continuing to do well. She is back in the WW housing and no longer needs a non-medical advocate - YAY!

My sister and I offered to go to Hawaii to help Jim pack, but he hasn't gotten back to us on that, so I guess we are not needed - just kidding, neither one of us would really be able to go, but it sure would be fun!

what an amazing person inspiration to the rest of us!!!

My sister and I offered to go to Hawaii to help Jim pack, but he hasn't gotten back to us on that, so I guess we are not needed - just kidding, neither one of us would really be able to go, but it sure would be fun!

I would offer to go to Hawaii!!!! even if it's packing!!!

the closest thing we will get is Ohana and the poly!!! :rotfl2:

Have i mentioned HOW FLIPPIN EXCITED I AM?!?! First our EPIC MEET to tear up Chicago then we get to traumatize DISNEY TOGETHER!!!! :woohoo:

I have been rethinking our dining plans and getting some feedback from Charlie - though he should have mentioned a few things earlier in the planning stages ::yes::. I went back and checked out the menus for a couple of places - guess I should have done that earlier too, but well.......

Decided I didn't really want to eat at LeCellier - I think the prices are outrageous for a steak, so I cancelled that one and added Chefs de France - which was probably my first choice anyway.

Also, changed Brown Derby to Sci-Fi - Charlie mentioned that he liked that last year and would like to do it again. I only have one dinner planned at HS, so Sci-Fi it is.

The last one I changed, and I'm not sure how Charlie will feel about this one, but I cancelled Flying Fish and added dinner at 1900 Park Fare - I think it will be fun and since I'm making the reservations, that's where we are going! So There!

I was amazed at the number of restaurants that have good available times for the week and a half we are there.

Hahaha... I love your philosophy. :D Great changes. :) I liked 1900PF... It wasn't super fantastic, but it's certainly a "do again" restaurant for us. Had bff not chosen it though, I don't think we would have done it again on this trip. YOu will enjoy it though. :)

D~

I like your changes; LeCellier was very disappointing last time for us (much prefer Yachstman); didn't like Brown Derby, but enjoy Sci Fi. We are trying Flying Fish for the first time in September.

I've been neglecting my PTR too. Work has been crazy busy and I leave in 2 weeks. :scared1:

Your a riot..

doesn't matter as long as you don't change the days you and i are together!!!!

114 days..
113 until the big REVEAL!!!!
