Wait - We're staying Where? and When????

We are not huge sports fans in our house (girls... remember) - but we do have a love of Baseball (and hockey) - Twins baseball, that is... It also holds a special place in our hearts because Josh's grandfather designed the Twins Minnie and Paul logo... So we always try to find items with his logo on it. :thumbsup2. I think it would be fun to go for spring training... I would probably have a chance to get Josh back to FL again if that were part of the deal? LOL

I love the photo of you in front of the Spring Training sign - even though it's blurry, it's a great pic of you! :)

Coming out of lurker status to say - GO TWINS!!!

Tess, I have enjoyed reading about your new DVC membership and Duckie's adventure!

I loved seeing all of your pictures Tess... I wish you weren't so sick on this trip - and I sure hope you start feeling better soon.

I believe our season opener is tonight? :confused3 We are planning to take B/M/T to a Twins game while they are here this summer - I want a family picture under the big Minnie/Paul logo in the new stadium... We've had the new stadium for 3 years (?) and I have yet to see a game there.

So, you liked Pop? I've heard good things about it.

I love that you were able to get so much done that first night. :woohoo: I loved seeing all of your pictures too!

Hi there neighbor... :thumbsup2 I am just south of the Metro.

D~

Mo, my cousin's son died in a motorcycle accident on Sunday morning in California. I didn't know him, but my heart breaks for my cousin (whom I don't see very often, but is still family).

I am So sorry Tess.. I honestly did not see this. horrible tragedy.
My Father also died in a motorcycle accident. I am sorry for your loss.

As for the trip. I am glad you started to feel better and Ducky is bi-polar fan..

Thanks Mo. I'm sorry about your Dad. I worry all the time about my brother and cousins who ride. Not about their ability, but about all the other people on the road who don't watch out for bikers.

We did like Pop - much better than the All Stars. The theming is fantastic!

I did start to feel better on Tuesday night and was able to enjoy the rest of the week.

Our "new" ballpark is now 22 years old :lmao: and is a beautiful place to watch a game. I still miss the old one though.

Thanks this was in 91'

I agree with you people just don't see or respect them at all...

Then again i see all these kids on their crotch rockets driving like lunatics!!! Gives the Harley's a bad name...

Some pictures from Thursday at Epcot -

Two of my favorite Muppets

From my favorite Disney movie -

In France -

In England -

We spotted this guy on the roof -

In the butterfly house -

The original plan was to spend 2 days at Epcot enjoying the F&G. One day with the crowds was enough for me, so we decided to head to Hollywood Studios for the day.

I was able to change our fp+ with no problem. I chose the Great Movie Ride, Toy Story Midway Mania and the Indiana Jones show(for future reference, don't bother wasting a fp on a show....)

Our first stop was to ride the Great Movie Ride - I love this ride! We got the Western one this time.

We also rode the Backstage Tour - they've changed the show and didn't have any one act out the scene, just an explanation of how its done - very sad, I don't like the change.

Saw the 3D Muppet show, rode TSMM - Charlie did beat me this time, :confused3

We had lunch at Fairfax Fair and then went to see Indiana Jones stunt show. You really don't need to use fastpasses to see the shows, since you have to wait for the next show anyway, and you don't really get any special seating because you have a fast pass.

We had a treat at Starring Rolls and then rode the Great Movie Ride again. Once that was done, we decided to head down to get the boat to Epcot since our dinner reservation was at Teppen Edo. We rode over to the Boardwalk and got off. We walked through the Boardwalk resort for a bit, checking things out before we headed over to Epcot.

We walked around a bit, then it was time to head to Japan for dinner. Dinner was fantastic! Our chef was excellent and put on a good show. I recommend this restaurant if you've never done it.

After dinner, we strolled around a bit and then stopped to see the headliner at the Flower Power show. It was Gary Lewis and the Playboys - one of my favorite 60's bands. We sat and watched the 1/2 hour show.

After the show, we meandered our way out to the bus area and went back to the resort. We were both beat and went to bed fairly early. We had to be up early the next day.....

Loved your DHS day and your flower and garden pictures!!! We went during flower and garden in 07, but didn't know it was a thing when we went. I cannot wait to go again during this time. I could spend a couple of days at EPCOT anyways. Add in a special event, and I'm done for:(

Love your F&G pics.:goodvibes

Sounds like a good day at the Studios. I never thought about the FP+ and shows. You are right...still have to wait for next show.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Tepoan Edo 15 months ago.

Love all the F&G pics! Beautiful!

Looks like south fun at Epcot & HS! Thanks for the heads up on the FPs for shows!

It was one of the events I really wanted to visit, so I'm glad we got the opportunity to go. I would like to spend more time walking around and seeing all the exhibits. I guess I need to go on a girls only trip!

We did have fun at the Studios - we didn't do a whole lot, but we did hit some highlights.

I loved seeing all the topiaries. They were awesome!

Here are some pictures of the lobby at Kidani -

We needed to get up early on Saturday because we had a reservation for breakfast at Tusker House. We packed up  and loaded the luggage in the car and headed over to Animal Kingdom for our 8:40 reservation.

Ducky was ready! She was going to meet Donald!

Sorry some of these are out of focus - Charlie was taking pictures with my phone -

We went on the Safari after breakfast, and wandered around the park for the rest of the morning. Finally it was time to leave. This is always the saddest part of the trip, but we had a long drive ahead of us, so just after noon we headed out to find the car - somewhere in that vast parking lot......

Beautiful pictures at AKL. I do love that resort and can't wait to be back there in five months.

LOVE Tusker House breakfast...lots of good food and love the characters in their safari outfits.

Glad you got a little time at the park before you had to leave to go home.

Loved the topiaries in Epcot... It as so fun seeing all of them! And your camera takes beautiful pictures too!

Loved hearing about your DHS day too, it sounds like you were able to accomplish a lot.

LOL - Duckie is so cute! I love that he had Ears on. :)

I hope you had a great weekend!

D~

Great pictures!!! Nice capture of Pete on the roof!

the fire things at the lobby at Kidani are really cool :thumbsup2 really neat.. Love Disney touches.. well i just love Disney.. looking at your pictures makes me even more excited too go.. AND TO SEE YOU THERE!!! :yay:

So what did your daughter think about Ducky going too Disney??>

LOVE THOSE EARS!!!!

I'm so glad you started feeling better for your last ball game! And Miss Ducky rocked the two team look.

The topiaries always just amaze me with the attention to detail and the colors and expressions…truly works of art! I saw so many people just rush by and never even glance at them and thought, what a shame. Last time we went during F & G, we had our granddaughter, Selah, with us and she loved the butterfly house. I have a pic of a butterfly landing on her finger and her expression says it all! She was thrilled!!

Your day in Hollywood Studios sounds like fun. With the tiering they do for FP+, it leaves you getting fast passes for things you really don't need them for. At least at the times we usually go. We got one for Finding Nemo the musical only b/c we didn't need one for anything else with Charlotte along. (we ended up not going to AK, but still, with the structure of FP+, it seems some are wasted)

I love the things at Staring Rolls!!! Never had anything from there that didn't taste heavenly.

Your Safari Breakfast with Donald looked like fun! We've never done that. Wandering around AK with no agenda sounds like fun. I'm glad you were able to do that. And glad you made it home safe and sound!

Thanks for the update on Kat! I hope everything goes well and hope she and Jim get that two bedroom accommodation soon. I'm sure after you see them this weekend, you'll have a new update for us. I'm thinking it's good for Jim to have this distraction about now. Hope he's doing well.

Hey, no blahs allowed when you have an awesome DIS meet coming up shortly!! Just kidding. I've been there as I'm sure we all have at one time or another. I hope you start feeling your old self soon. Hey, it's baseball season, right??

Have a great weekend!

Just stopping by to say hi... We are down to 44 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cannot WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

D~

We had a mostly good weekend - the weather was absolutely gorgeous. I spent part of Saturday outside clearing garden debris and getting the patio cleaned off, after I cleaned the house that is. I was one tired puppy by Saturday evening.

Sunday, we went over to my nephew's house to visit with Jim and Kat. Kat is doing remarkably well. She's been boxing, and rock climbing - needs to build the strength up in her right arm still. Jim is looking good too. He heads back to Hawaii on April 27, but will be returning in May for an indefinite time - as long as Kat needs a non-medical advocate.

I did make a change to our dining reservations - I switched out Mama Melrose's for the Brown Derby - since we've never done the BD, I thought we'd try it this trip.
