Anyone know what the typical wait times are for the rides at MCMCP? I will be going the 2nd week in Dec (3rd-11th).

I'm just wondering because the cast member who I booked my tickets with kept EMPHASIZING that line time will be low because they only allow a certain amount of people in. She must have said it 3-4X

Kinda makes me think now that it's gonna be super crowded!

:(

Thanks!

when we went in the past years, most rides were a walk on or 5 minute wait at the most. we rode space mountain about 5 times in a row. walked on each time. Im sure youll have a great time.:teeth:

I've heard the wait times are very low during these events. We'll see you there! We're going to the MVMCP on December 7!

i hope they are short too!

we will be there nov 30th :)

last ( and first time) time we were at WDW it was hot and the lines were unbelieveable... either way it was awful and i hope we picked a better( =slower) time of year to visit

Friday nights are generally the most crowded but we've done MVMCP Fridays both trips and had a blast.

Riding during the first parade means very little waiting. It felt like we had Fantasyland to ourselves for the first hour, both years we went.

The first year we sat down at the Belle show 20 minutes before start on the first row and the kids and DH were asked to be in the show. Then headed to HM (about 10 minute wait) and Splash (another 10 minutes at most). This was our very first day at WDW on our very first trip. Were we spoiled! Grabbed curbside seats in front of the Emporium one hour before the second parade and took turns shopping and getting candy from the shop across the street. The second year DD was asked to warm up the waiting crowd with a CM.

All this to say, in our experience, MVMCP is fantastic with very little waiting for rides. Just be sure to take a nap so you are up for the second parade!

We went on a Tuesday night last year and had no wait time except in Fantasyland, but even that wasn't bad. My DS and I went on SM and were the only ones we could see ahead and behind. A very weird feeling when your used to lines of people.

We always head for Fantasyland first. One time I think we were the only people on the entire Pooh ride! It was right after 7:00pm.

I have literally run through the queue areas of many attractions, including Space Mountain, Big Thunder and Splash. Laughing all the way (ho ho ho)! :)

The expanded fireworks show is really, really awesome.

It's a great time. :)

First the bad: We have seen the wait as long as 15 to 20 min for Space Mountain right after the party got started. Main street seemed quite packed as everyone slowly made their way in to the park as a large group (everyone pretty much shows up on time). We were expecting the 5 minute wait thing and we were a little disappointed....

BUT, THE GOOD NEWS: About an hour into the thing, everyone is splitting up between shows and parades, and the wait was gone. We got to see a bunch of shows, and the wait times dropped to the 5 minutes we were expecting. THE BEST was the last hour of the party. All of the little kids had passed out and were on the monorail back to the parking lot. We rode the Fantasy land rides without any wait at all, including the usual longer lines you expect at Pooh and Peter Pan. Our longest wait for the rest of the night was for the souvenier photo....

AND NOW, THE BEST NEWS: You didn't ask, but our favorite part is the fireworks. I'm used to surround sound, but surround FIREWORKS was amazing. They were going up all around the park.

An unsolicited piece of advice: Don't miss the shows. Even though it is a great time to catch the rides, there is a charm to the Christmas season at the MK that is amazing. There will still be PLENTY of time to ride the rides if you stay until closing.

When we did MVMCP on a Mon or Tue night in Dec it was so cold I think everyone was in line getting hot chocolate that night. My kids rode Splash Mtn about 10 times in a row. They were sick of it by the time they got off. The castle show was great too. The only thing that seemed to have longer lines were the Fantasyland rides and Small World. It was super crowded however, but a magical night that you will always remember.
