We just got back 2:30am this morning. It was crazy busy, but we were not doing a commado trip. I promised that we would take it easy this trip, and we didn't make it to any park earlier then 10:30am. I kept thinking that I was so glad that we were not first timers. When I saw a button I would wonder what they were thinking. Saw a lot more people fighting with their family, even the Brits were losing their tempers with the kiddos. (I'm sure it happens, but I hadn't seen it before.
) The park we had the hardest time in was Hollywood Studios (MGM) on Tuesday. We went strait to TSM and got fast passes for around 8pm. When our window opened for new fast passes we tried RRRC, and they were gone, and then tried TOT and they were gone there to. We had waited in line for Mermaid, and then went on Muppets. Had our late lunch at Sci-Fi, and decided to head out of the park by about 5pm. It may have cleared out a bit later in the evening, but we weren't willing to wait and see. Gave our FP's for TSM to a family getting their pictures taken in front of the park. They were very grateful. We stayed a couple of nights late at MK and were able to do all the majors. One of those nights was one of the cold ones, and that seemed to help thin out the crowds. They were sending boats down empty for Splash. The one day at MK we were getting on the FP line for Space and it was out the doors. One of the castmembers said he heard the numbers were around 70,000 that day. Disney did seem to have a lot of characters, and street entertainment out and about, so there was always something to see. The restaurants were full, but we never had to wait long for our reservation time. I think if you were flexible you could still get in to some restaurants same day.
The last few days of our trip our housekeeper changed, and I think they were understaffed as on our last full day she was asking when we would be out and if we wanted our room cleaned, I said soon and yes, and she kept saying no? and I said yes. When the housekeeping CM changed we did not get the same cleaning we had before, basically the beds were made, the towels were changed, and the garbage was emptied, the new liners were not even put in the can, and we did not get any new shampoo/Cond/Lotion/soap, even though what was in the bath tub was almost empty.
Easter we went to Church at the Contemporary, was very crowded on the bus getting to MK. We were the first stop at the resort, and about 3 more people got on in the stairwell on the next stop. Then we skipped the other stops. Then as we were walking the path to the CR we heard the guard let in someone for Church.
Their parking lot seemed empty except for the side Church was on (convention center). Would have liked to have gone in our rental, but oh well. Decided to do Epcot via monorail after, and were able to have an early lunch at the land food court, and then do Nemo (which we skipped earlier in the week when the wait was 40 or 50 minutes) and then went to see the rest of the living seas tanks which we didn't have time for before. Then we went on Energy, looked in the Gardening thing in the old Wonders of Life building, and then went to find some icecream. I wanted soft serve, and we ended up in World showcase looking for it. on the way over we saw something we hadn't seen before, the drawbridge was up, I guess they were bringing in the fireworks barges. We went to Spaceship Earth with no wait around 4pm. Then we headed back to our resort to get the car. Headed down to DTD to eat at WGP express on our last counter service, and use DH's last few snack credits at Goofy's. Then off to the airport.
We still had a good trip, but I think I will avoid this time in the future. We had been a couple of other times over Easter and it was not anywhere near this busy.
Hope August is better for DD's Birthday trip.

I had back surgery and can walk okay but standing more than 30 minutes without being able to sit down is a no-go for me! Guess I would be laying at the pool! Yikes
