Wait time 250 min??

I'm not standing in a 4 hour long line for anything unless it concludes by handing me $10 million dollars and the key to a mansion by the lake.

OMG I have never ever waited more than 5 mins for the HM. Most of the time there is not even a wait lol!

Spring break and Magic Music Days all at once on that trip! If it weren't for fastpasses and our complete lack of interest in the parades (and spending the first two hours in the park sprinting between headliner attractions), we wouldn't have gotten on ANYTHING. And besides, we needed something to do during the four hours until our Space Mountain FP were good!

OMG lol! When it is that crowded is there like any spot where it isn't jammed? Or is it wall to wall people everywhere?

It was kind of crazy. The only day that it wasn't completely jammed was the day we went to Epcot- because it rained all morning, through our performance, cleared up to give us JUST enough time to check out the world showcase, and then the skies opened up again!

BTW- I read your wedding trip report this morning (I'm trying to throw together a last minute wedding this summer) and loved it! Your dress was gorgeous and I loved the location.

Ugh I hate rain!!!

Aww why thank you!! Congrats on your upcoming wedding :goodvibes

OMG!!!!!!!!! :scared1:

I dont know how anyone can survive a day at disney with crowds that are that obscene! Thats just.... CRAZY!!!! :sad2:

Im planning my first ever trip durring a value season (january) , and honestly looking at the comparisons between then and summer season crowds...I dont know how i ever survived 2 trips durring june! The wait times for all major attractions were always 40+ minutes at the very least. Makes you wonder why all people who are able to go durring the off season...well, dont go durring the off season :confused3 ? Ill probably never go durring any other time of the year besides sep-feb ever again unless im forced to.

If it is like this in May, I am in trouble:scared1: I had back surgery and can walk okay but standing more than 30 minutes without being able to sit down is a no-go for me! Guess I would be laying at the pool! Yikes:eek:

Seriously consider renting an ECV!!! I know you said you can walk fine, but what does a lot of people in is all the standing in line. If you have an ECV, you don't have to stand (usually) until you transfer from it and onto the ride/attraction.

 and WDW cutting 1900 positions surely isn't helping matters!
These were all professional, managerial, and executive (backstage) positions; no in-park, transportation, resort, etc., CMs were involved. In addition, "only" 900 persons were laid off in Orlando. 500 positions were eliminated, and the others were not Orlando-based.

I wouldn't worry about running into these insane crowds in May. Spring breaks are over and kids are back in school. Even with the 4//3 deal, it won't be that bad. You can't base May pre-memorial day against spring break weeks.

It still surprises me with how surprised folks are with how busy the parks are/ were for spring breaks and Easter week. Spring breaks are always busy, when I was at WDW last April the waits for pretty much everything in MK and Epcot were 90-180 mins by mid-afternoon. Even with the economy, if you add Srping Break + the 4//3 deal you are going to get crazy crowds.

I can't imagine why it would be like this in May.

We were there this past week. It was Easter and spring break at the same time. Add to that international travelers also on their two week break (UK and Australia at least) and crazy weather - it was very cold on Tuesday and Wednesday - like low 50s, we saw our breath while waiting for the buses in the morning and got frozen out of DHS by 6:00 on Wednesday (even with jeans, long sleeved shirts and sweatshirts), which meant that no one was at the water parks.....everyone went to the other parks......I can't imagine all of these things coiinciding in May. The crowds were forecasted to be 9, then 10 all last week. May shows 8s. 8 is not 10.

For long waits, there is really to place to sit in line - maybe consider getting a wheelchair or ECV. You want to be comfortable - you can rent one for length of stay and it is reasonable - look at the disAbilities board. Also - use fastpass whenever possible and go to the parks early to avoid the crowds.

Good luck - I hope things go well for you. Try not to worry.

And I think the 8's predicted for May are an overcompension based on how busy the last few weeks were at WDW. Basing non spring break weeks on how busy spring break weeks were just doesn't make sense to me. Regardless I don't think it will even be that busy. It looks like the touring sites like UG would rather be too high than too low regarding their crowd predictions.

Let me make it clear that I was not one of those crazy people standing in line for hours to get on a ride. We did make as much use out of the FP system as we could and tried to get there early but you really had to get there at opening. I am grateful that I have been to WDW so many times so it's not a big deal if we don't get to ride everything. I really feel badly for the people who are there for the first time and maybe their only time and only get to ride a few things. I heard many people say they would not ever go back because it was just too crazy. I find it very sad that those people will only have memories of crowds and chaos of their WDW trip and may not ever return during a less crowded time to experience the true magic that WDW offers.

Again, if everyone loved WDW as we do, you wouldn't be able to move in the parks - EVER. While I am not happy that people walk away from a trip to WDW disappointed, it doesn't bother me, either... ;)

Wait times were like that 2 yrs ago when DD and I went... for Christmas! I will NEVER go again during such a peak time. I don't like dealing with that many people... stopping in front of you, cutting you off, hitting your ankles with their strollers... just plain painful! Never will I do that again, once was quite enough!

Yes, 250 minutes. We just got back and I knew it would be busy. We've been the last couple of years during spring break, but that was ridiculous. Mission Space had a wait time of 250 min, Test Track was 190 min, Toy Story was 180 min, even Nemo was 150 minutes. The Fast Pass line for Space Mountain was out of the building and was so long, they cut off the regular line and only let FP riders get on for quite some time. I've never seen so many people!! Fantasmic was completely full an hour before the show, and they had 2 shows that night. It was crazy but as usual, we had fun. I would still rather be at WDW than sitting at home!

We saw the same thing the other night. I was scratching my head at the 250 minute wait time. I'm pretty good with numbers and that looks like 4 hours 10 minutes. This was at about 7:30pm and the park closes at 9! Wasn't sure how they managed that...

But yes, it was CROWDED last week!

We were there arrived 4/2 left 4/7 (thank goodness!!) I had not been over spring break in years and I will not be going back at that time any time soon if ever. I noticed that the crowds picked up to crazy level late on Sunday by Monday it was insane. We did have plans where to go when etc but they all went out the window after 8 am 4/3 when I fell in the food court at POP on my way to breakfast. I ended up on crutches and in an ECV the remainder of the trip which by the way was NOT skip to the front of the line card. But I digress. It was waaaayyy crowded we were turned away 2 days in a row at Electric Umbrella because they were at capacity. Even after all my run ins with the paramedics (the fall was not the only one) we still did not wait longer then 40 mins we tried to salvage our touring plan even though I put a serious monkey wrench into them.

We went 3/21-3/28 and while it was busier and more crowded than our previous two trips we still had a ball. FP's and a plan and getting up early helped so much!!!

Now there is NO way on God's green Earth that I will EVER go during a holiday week. :scared1: Never ever ever!

Why are people attributing this to the buy 4 get 3 free. The last few weeks were a blackout period for that promotion was 4/5 - 4/18. Its just spring break is NUTS!!!!

Apparently the 4/3 deal was blacked out in what they wrote, but you could still get it on the site. WDW is not know for the best IT dept.
