Wait Lists

I don't know if this topic has been covered but I was informed yesterday by Member Services that as of February 1st, you may only have 2 waitlists at any time per your use year.
Does anyone have any insight as to why they would make this change? If you make 2 to 3 trips per year and can't get availability or your first choice when you first call, it is now impossible to waitlist more than 2 reservations at any time. For instance, we have 4 nights in a preferred view 2 bedroom at Disney's Boardwalk this April. We are missing 2 nights so I waitlisted a standard view, a preferred view and a boardwalk view to give us the best chance at getting something. I also have a waitlist for June and December which makes a total of 5 waitlists. After February 1st, you may no longer do this.
I think this is unfair and wanted to know if anyone else has an opinion.

Thank you Vicki C. It seems as though most people are not happy with this change. I find it very limiting while trying to plan multiple trips per year. I am sure Disney is looking at ways to cut costs and this probably allows them to reduce MS staffing. Can't imagine what will come next!

You're welcome! Sorry to point you in the direction of the bad news, though -- none of it is all that clear yet (or maybe it is and we're all too dumb/mad/whatever to understand it). I'd like to hear some firsthand reports after Feb 1 and I'm sure they will show up in that other thread!
