W.I.S.H.-Wide Monday Mixer!

Just returned from a trip and really enjoyed the cookies & cream gelato in the Beach Club marketplace. Nothing all that special, but really hit the spot.

Now I'm going to have to try those ice cream sandwiches on Main St - they sound amazing!

The Dole Whip is yummy and refreshing, especially on a hot day, but I think my vote needs to go to the dark chocolate ice cream sundae at Ghirardelli's. We had to have one last week, even though it was a bit chilly. If I want something a bit smaller, their mint chocolate chip ice cream is delicious as well.

Carrie - We might be soulmates... the Mint Bliss at Ghirardelli is my new favorite, but the Dole Whip is a very close second.

SC Minnie - I've had Godiva Chocolate Martinis other places, but they're never as good as the ones at Wilderness Lodge!

Okay, so technically, it's not ice cream, but my favorite frozen treat is the Minnie Strawberry Bar. And since I recently became lactose intolerant, the best part is I can still eat it!

Mint chocolate chip ice cream with dark chocolate fudge from Ghiardelli. Yum! Got ot admit, thoguh. Was introduced to DOle whips last year at Princess and a pineapple Dole whip float is now a fave. nothing beats chocolte, though. :goodvibes

Carrie- i knew i could rely on you to name my number 1 ice cream. I had exactly that as my post marathon treat. At mile 25 i was imagining eating that dark choc sauce getting all thick and amazing whilst wearing my running hoodie! There is something amazing about a good mint choc chip- so many companies kill it!!!!!

Well, I don't think I've ever met an ice cream treat (in WDW or anywhere) that I didn't like (although I haven't tracked down a bourbon flavored one for Debra yet). :rotfl: I'm still partial to the Mickey bar. They're just cute (although a bit messy - see below) and who doesn't like to bite off Mickey's ear every now and again?

And for those who wanted drinks with their ice cream, here you go...

My personal favorite is a hot fudge sundae on Main Street while watching the evening parade.

My dh aka kitchensinkguy on these boards will vote for the kitchensink at Beaches and Cream. He has taken and won the challenge twice, his last time was 39 minutes 39 seconds. Here are some photos

The good thing about ice cream at WDW is that I can't go wrong with anything! This January's trip the No Way Jose became my new favorite, pictured below with my DDs (Patricia 19 and Amanda 21):

The three of us shared and devoured this in just a few minutes.:rolleyes1

PS - Hi Mona! :)

My favorite is a dark chocolate and caramel sundae from Ghirardelli, but I will also give a shout out to the gelato at the store at the Beach Club. Gelato is a wonderful invention...

Maria :upsidedow

I love Mickey bars, it's an unhealthy addiction. I always take a picture when I have one. I also enjoy having an ice cream or shake at beaches and cream.

My favorite is the ice cream they serve in those whopping big mugs at the Biergarten.

Oh wait... Sorry, that was beer.

Still my favorite.

Oh, in this spirit, I'd have to go for a rum raisin! :woohoo:

Nawww, the best ice cream is the next ice cream. Always looking ahead to the latest adventure.

That said, I do love the Peanut Butter & Jelly milkshake at 50s Prime Time Cafe. It's so wrong, it's right!

And I was delighted to share the Kitchen Sink with some WISH friends on this last trip. You know who you are, and I'll bet people can guess, too. ;)

The Kitchen Sink: "Eight Scoops of Ice Cream served with all the Toppings in the house and a whole can of Whipped Cream." Let's see...vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, coffee, and mint chocolate chip ice creams. Bananas, candy bars, brownies, cake, peanut butter, Oreos, fudge, strawberries, nuts, and other stuff I forget. I lost count of the number of maraschino cherries in it.

I also like Dole Whips, but tend to only eat them in DL. Don't know why? :confused3

I tried one of these on my last trip only with chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla, it was amazing. I also took a sip of a vanilla one. I ddn't think I'd like it but I did.

Another Dole Whip fan here! Though I'd LOVE to try the kitchen sink sometime when we have enough people together to share it. I don't think DH and I could even make a dent in it by ourselves!

This is going to sound crazy but I don't really like ice cream so I have never had any at WDW.

However, I do love the Pineapple Dole Whip. I've never really thought of it as ice cream though... I consider it a fruit! :)

My goodness - what is it about ice cream? It was my own question and I can't actually decide. I have so many stories, so many "favorites." Honestly, ice cream is like crack to me. I can't even safely keep it in the kitchen freezer. :rolleyes1 Here's what I know:

1. You can't beat a No Way Jose....unless it's with one of those Midnight sundaes from Ghirardhelli.

2. The ice cream sundae place at POP century is a pretty good deal.

3. I always get a soft serve cone (chocolate or twist) the night before a longer race at Disney - Boardwalk Bakery seems to be a standby, but the stuff at that kiosk at the front of the World Showcase is my first choice!

4. I had forgotten about those milkshakes at Primetime!

And now that it's afternoon, I'm getting out the good stuff!

Elijah Craig, on the rocks for me! Ironically not pictured.... :thumbsup2

I haven't had ice cream at WDW but at Disneyland I really love anything from Gibson girl thought I usually get a 2 scoop (chocolate chip and mint chocolated chip) in a chocolate a nut covered waffle cone! I can't wait till November 2011 when I go to WDW...I will have to go to Beaches and Cream and try the No Way Jose because I LOOOOVVVVVEEEE peanut butter! It sounds and looks amazing!
