W.I.S.H.-Wide Monday Mixer!

:rotfl2:
(and I thought it was Jimmy Buffet that declared its 5:00 somewhere!! ;) Now we know where Jimmy got it from!! :thumbsup2)

 have to agree, my favorite Ice Cream is the "next one"!! :cloud9:

This is not our fav!

DD had never tried a frozen banana, and wanted a treat - this kind CM in AK gave her the banana for free, and she paid for the ice cream she really wanted!!

DOLE WHIPS for everyone!

I cant believe I dont have a picture of the Gelato uploaded!! I'll have to work on that!!

Now believe it or not, we've never eaten at Beaches and Cream!! I know!!

Mimosas are good anytime of day... imho.... ;)

The good thing about ice cream at WDW is that I can't go wrong with anything! This January's trip the No Way Jose became my new favorite, pictured below with my DDs (Patricia 19 and Amanda 21):

The three of us shared and devoured this in just a few minutes.:rolleyes1

PS - Hi Mona! :)

Richard, what's in the No Way Jose? It looks tempting!

So I love Dole Whips and ANYTHING from Ghirardellis is delicious, but I cannot wait until I stay at the Beach Club next month as I will be having a No Way Jose! I don't care that I will have no one there to share it with. (I love the Reese's sundaes at Friendly's, so I can't see how I can't fall in love with this one).

Richard, what's in the No Way Jose? It looks tempting!

From the menu description...A peanut butter and hot fudge delight featuring chocolate and vanilla ice cream, peanut butter and chocolate morsels, whipped cream and a cherry. - $7.99

...and it is fantastic!!!

Ok, my fave has to be a Mickey Bar. My DD and I had one for dinner while we waited for SpectroMagic back in 2008. YES, you read that right, we had them for dinner! :rotfl2: And it is one of the memories she still talks about.

My second favorite is the Dole Whip float.

Now I have never had a kitchen sink, but would be willing to help anyone that might need a hand. :rolleyes1

Another Dole whip fan here.
Also, anything with chocolate and peanut butter is my fave.
Will definitely have to try that No Way Jose this March (after the race, of course)

I have yet to meet an ice cream I didn't like (well okay, pistaschio isn't my favorite, but I'll eat it under duress or stress )

I would second the No Way Jose and the Dole Whip.

God bless the man that ate the Kitchen Sink by himself. He is my hero.:worship:

I'm not a big ice cream fan, but I can't pass up a Mickey ice cream sandwich.:thumbsup2

I would have to say my favorite ice cream in all of WDW has to be the Dole Whip but I don't have good luck in catching the place open so I have only had it 1 or 2 times. I also like the chocolate frozen banana but that's not ice cream.

Oh and the BEST fudge has got to be at the fudge shop on Sunset Blvd at the Studios - I always have to stop there and get a box of fudge. It also helps that the smoking section is right there so my husband can get his "fix" LOL I know the question wasn't about fudge but I figured I would throw that one in there just because its something I have to get on each trip.

From the first visit I made to WDW 20 years ago, a rootbeer float at Donald's Dairy Dip.

More recently, a warm cookie and ice cream sandwich from Main Street Bakery. Amazing!!

Warm cookie sundae from Ghirardelli-I love that brown sugar buttery goodness at the bottom of the glass! I'm dying to try the No Way Jose, it's always on the list, but we never manage to get one!

I'm all about the hot fudge sundae at Ghiradelli's.

However, my favorite used to be the Citrus Swirl at Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland. Anyone else remember these, back when they were made with real orange juice? Now they sell them at the dole whip stand, but they're made with a disappointing orange-flavored softserve. :sad2:

I agree I haven't ever met ice cream I didn't like. Anything from Ghiradelli is delish. It is amazing how much better anything(including ice cream) tastes while watching a parade at disney!

This thread is making me hungry...

Oh, in this spirit, I'd have to go for a rum raisin! :woohoo:

Nawww, the best ice cream is the next ice cream. Always looking ahead to the latest adventure.

That said, I do love the Peanut Butter & Jelly milkshake at 50s Prime Time Cafe. It's so wrong, it's right!

And I was delighted to share the Kitchen Sink with some WISH friends on this last trip. You know who you are, and I'll bet people can guess, too. ;)

The Kitchen Sink: "Eight Scoops of Ice Cream served with all the Toppings in the house and a whole can of Whipped Cream." Let's see...vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, coffee, and mint chocolate chip ice creams. Bananas, candy bars, brownies, cake, peanut butter, Oreos, fudge, strawberries, nuts, and other stuff I forget. I lost count of the number of maraschino cherries in it.

I also like Dole Whips, but tend to only eat them in DL. Don't know why? :confused3

Mmmmm... Kitchen Sink!

I didn't know there was such a thing as PB&J milkshake. I'll have to check PTC next trip.

All righty, for those that have both an ice cream maker and an affinity for bourbon:

Maybe I'll make this for next week's mixer!

Kitchensinkguy is a legend in his own time, I'd say!

Sandy - did your DD not like the frozen banana? I got one one time when the kids were having mickey bars on a hot, hot day in Disneyland, and I tell you, it hit the spot without breaking the WW bank!

Richard - $7.99 well spent, I think. My only gripe is that they don't make the No Way Jose at the walk-up window anymore. The Hot Fudge Sundae there is good, still (if it's not too cold out!) but man, there's nothing like a NWJ! I think it's the PB morsels that make it so stellar.

ghoulishgirl - I might have to try one of those cookie sundaes you mention sometime! The midnight one and the PB one are so compelling, we never look farther than that, I have to admit!

Mmmm......Dole Whip!

Thanks to everyone who has shared their Disney frozen treat joy so far today! The night is still young, but I wanted to say that now...just in case I crash early. It's a possibility, I have to admit!

Another Dole Whip fan! Only because I am lactose intollerant! :rotfl2:

If I wasn't, then my favorite would to sit at the Horseshoe review and watch Billy Hill and the Hillbillies and have a hot fudge, mint chip, waffle cone sundae! Yum, they look so good!

Dole Whip has to be my favorite (honestly it's the only ice cream treat I've tried at WDW). I remember getting it the first time Mom & Dad took us to WDW about 23+ years ago, and we got one Dole Whip to share between four of us. I obssessed over getting another one until I moved to CA 12 years later and went to DL to get another one. My wife thought I was a little over the top about getting one.

Corinna Well now I may have to get the ice cream maker ready for some work. My DD gave me the book "The Perfect Scoop" by David Lebovitz for Christmas and I have yet to make any ice cream. I am definitely going to have to remedy that. I think the hard part will be deciding on a flavor!

Maura

A vote for the orange sherbet shake at Beaches and Cream. DH and DS just "discovered" Beaches and Cream this trip -- I think they went three or four times in eight days! :rotfl2: I think I will have to try those Mickey Ice Cream sandwiches -- they are a favorite of mine!

Thanks for hostessing the mixer, corinnak, it's fun to chatter with the event folks (even though all those race clippies are a little intimidating). :flower3:
