Need help from the experts :)

We are sailing on the Magic 2/19/12 with our 4 and 6 year olds. I'd love to do a dolphin encounter (since both will not be old enough to do a swim). Which excursion can all four of us participate in? Thru DCL, there is a kids' encounter at Dolphinaris, but adults can only observe or particiapte in a different swim/encounter. There's Chakannab (sp), and an excursion in GC (with the turtles, bonus!).

I can book an encounter at Dolphinaris on their website for all four of us, but DCL doesn't seem to offer that? Any suggestions? I'd like to experience the dolphins in Cozumel because that seems to be the most appealing excursion for us in that port. In GC I'll be happy hanging out on seven Mile Beach, and we can see Stingrays at CC (or are those better in GC?).

Sorry for all the newbie questions! TIA!

We did the Dolphin excursion in Grand Cayman with our 3 and 6yr old that included the turtle farm. We really enjoyed it. We picked that one because of the price and reviews. Grand Cayman is famous for the stingrays, but I was concerned that my littlest one wasn't old enough to do the stingrays so we're saving that for another cruise.

Chankanaab is very nice and they have a really good dolphin program. The nice thing about Chankanaab is you can hang out after your excursion. There is small botanical garden, restuarants, swimming pool and small snorkel lagoon. It is really a lovely place.

Great question! We are sailing on the Fantasy in May 2012 and are having difficulty deciding which dolphin swim to do with our 8 and 10 y/o. I hope you get a lot more input!!! popcorn::

Thanks Maureen. We live in Grosse Pointe Park but love A2. My husband spent a few months in corporate housing in A2 last summer before we joined him. Just took my MIL from Boston out to Zingerman's Roadhouse ( and creamery, and bakery...) two weekends ago. Our friends (who may be coming on this cruise as well) were just on the front page of the Free Press last Saturday for an article about technology & tailgating - Go Blue!

JennyT2 - I think once the Magic is back in the Caribbean this October we will get more feedback and see some trip reports. I'm also anxious to hear about any updates that will occur during dry dock. I've read about new bedding, possibly new alarm clock/ipod docking stations, and swapping out the beverage coolers for actual fridges. Will be interesting to see if any or all of those happen.

DisneyFanInAz - I loved your TR from 2009! That was very helpful, thanks for sharing.
