VWL question on rooms

I just found out that our waitlist came through for VWL for our Dec trip. So, my question is, are there certain spots or rooms I should request for? We have a DD4 and DS1. I'm sure there are some rooms that have a better view than others. Can I even make any certain room requests at VWL besides non-smoking?

Actually, almost all the rooms have the same view at VWL....trees! You can see on the satellite photo below (VWL is the red roof) that trees is the most common view!

Some people like to be near the quiet pool. The elevators are in the area where the resort "jogs", so some people like to be near them. Some people like the lake side of the resort, though the trees block the view almost entirely.

We tend to focus on non-smoking as our request. After that, it's all good!

Ryan, you can always make as many requests as you want to, but most people feel that you need to decide what is most important to you and stick with that. We will be at VWL for the first time this Christmas. I requested 2 bedroom, NON-SMOKING! This is all I really care about there. The views do seem to be all about the same, and other things like the length of the walk to the elevator don't really matter to us as our kids are older and nobody has any mobility problems.
