VWL Groupies & Lovers Thread (Special Collectors Edition 2.5) updated 2 February 2025

Hi Groupies, hope you are all doing well. I am still debating on whether or not to purchase Membership Magic Beyond! 🙃I had decided NOT to, but as usual I am overthinking! Dana and I are headed to the world for a few days in March. Looking forward to the F&G! We typically go in May but this has been a brutal winter and Dana didn’t have to tell me twice when he said let’s plan a March trip!

Checking out today - I was in 5530 - great room except had a weird shower that I had to squeeze past the door as it opened in and the shower was kinda diamond shaped…Jimmy, I think I saw you on the bridge one night but you were on the phone…I know I owe you a response but it’s still just too hard to type - but yes, my Jerry passed away unexpectedly last year - but at least I had him for 45 years and he died quickly, in peace without pain or fear and with me holding his hand…and for that I am eternally grateful.

Same here on debating MMB
Weighing it out for this year didn’t make as much sense for us to do it
But next year we hope to make a DL trip and we may go ahead with it then for tickets, plus the added features

Hey guys! Just a quick hello since I haven't been on here for awhile. 19 days till our trip yikes. I do have an ADR for Whispering Canyon so I will be visiting our Lodge. I'm still so torn on whether we should buy the multipass or not. Just so much money. Especially since my DH wants this to just be a really laid back trip. He really doesn't care if we get on any rides. I'm thinking we will maybe just do it for MK.
In October DD and I will be making my first trip to Japan. I have never been outside the country before. We will be doing 4 days at Tokyo Disney. Knowing WDW as well as I do it is a new adventure to try to plan for a trip that is so new and different. I'm pretty overwhelmed lol.
Hope everyone is doing well.

If it wasn’t for my granddaughter and daughter going with us on our trip in November, I don’t think I would have bought multipass. I even bought it for AK so she could ride Navi without a wait! But if it was just my husband and I, I think we would mostly do non-mutipass rides and attractions anyhow and spend more time at our hotel. We don’t really care about the headliner attractions and I can’t ride most of them anyhow. Plus, not buying it would give us more time to seek out other activities; for me that would be taking photos and we both enjoy musical performances.

Happy Saturday and Meteorological Spring Groupies! :cool1::flower1:
We’re celebrating our granddaughter’s first birthday today! Looking forward to our split vacation visiting Sarasota then on to the Flower & Garden. Looks like 38 Special and Peter Noone will be performing during our stay!

We are so bummed we will miss Peter Noone. We have Air Supply who my husband doesn't care about and Blue October which doesn't interest either of us.

Hello Groupies! DW and I have Sorcerer Annual Passes and they expire in the middle of our next trip. We are within 60 days so I went to renew the passes and got a message telling me that "The Disney Vacation Club Member Disney Sorcerer Pass Renewal is no longer sold. Select a new pass to continue." And then the only pass it gives me a choice of renewing is the Disney Incredi-Pass Renewal which of course is a couple hundred dollars more expensive (each).

Is this true that the Sorcerer Pass is no longer available to DVC members?

You can’t renew online - you have to call Member Services…

Thanks for the super fast response! I did end up calling MS and they handled it no problem. They seemed to be surprised that we couldn't renew it online. And online is weird because they specifically state that the Sorcerer Pass is no longer available. My guess is that they have gotten a decent number of DVC member upgrades to the more expensive Incredi-Pass for those members who don't follow up with Member Services.

I wonder if it isn't that they doubt the renewal verification is being properly done. It's been necessary to call in practically forever to renew. Disney needs to update their message or better yet allow the renewal online.

I agree - if they won’t allow online renewal, they have to update that message. There was a similar thread here or on the Theme Parks board just a few weeks ago.

I saw this notification about Whispering Canyon. So bummed. We will be there during that time and it's one of my husband's favorite restaurants.

From May 12 through May 21, Whispering Canyon Café at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will close for planned maintenance. All other food locations, including the Territory Lounge, Roaring Forks, Geyser Point Bar & Grill, and Story Book Dining at Artist Pointe, will remain open.

Oh I would be so disappointed.
