I remember that machine although never got any soft serve, I'm too much of a Magic Bar junkie when staying at VWL! hahaRandom question! Is the soft serve machine still at Roaring Fork, or am I completely dating myself?![]()
The boats that run between the resorts and Ft Wilderness. They haven't been running since the shut down,I'm new to the VWL world.....what boats??
The Blue Flag boats. The Blue Flag is a loop that ran from The Contemporary to Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness, and back (versus the Red Flag boats that just go back and forth to MK.I'm new to the VWL world.....what boats??
The boats are returning!!!!!!!!! Woo Hoo! Starting October 1st!!!!!! Bad news is they only start running at 3PM
Yes, that is what it typically has been.Isn’t the Blue Flag route launches only? Which means no ECVs -![]()
Great to see the return of the Bay Lake resort boats! In addition to using them regularly, it will also just be nice to see more boat traffic on Bay Lake. The past couple of trips seemed so weird to see boats infrequently. It used to be such a pleasantly busy lake with MK boats, resort boats, rental boats and the para-sailing boats all running around the lake. Looking forward to seeing the Steamboat Willie boats running around again! The boats are returning!!!!!!!!! Woo Hoo! Starting October 1st!!!!!! Bad news is they only start running at 3PM
I had missed the part about 3PM. That's a bummer.
I was pretty confident they would return after hearing about the cabins transitioning to DVC. I think they just held off until the "official" announcement of the new cabins, and now they'll be promoting more folks heading over there to see the place and where the next DVC resort will be. I think the first step was prettying up Crockett's Tavern and Trail's End.https://www.wdwinfo.com/news-stories/disney-watercraft-blue-route-to-resume-soon-on-bay-lake/ YAYYYY! I'm honestly shocked lol we love the boats as another option for getting to MK if you don't mind walking over for contemporary. Also my kids love the playground and singalong at FW. Bummer it doesn't start at 3 (we used to take the first boat to the CR at 645 to RD MK) but I'll take it!
Hopefully they've upgraded their fleet and can accommodate ECVs now. Maybe that was part of the holdup on their return - needed enough boats that could board ECVs. I think they upgraded the boats running MK-GF-Poly-MK for the same reason.Isn’t the Blue Flag route launches only? Which means no ECVs -![]()

Here is too hoping they do allow ECVs on board. Those boats have the little step down, so maybe they have done something to make them more accessible. My SIL will be in a ECV this upcoming trip and it will be a bummer if she cant have access to the Steamboat Willies. She will be fine walking a bit, but not for long.Isn’t the Blue Flag route launches only? Which means no ECVs -![]()
