Whispering Canyon Cafe, “whispering” being a misnomer since you can hear it from across the lobby! Lots of fun, if you want it.What is WCC?

You can just call housekeeping for towels. No charge anymore. Can we still get everyday towel service if we pay for it? I know we used to be able to do it. If so do you know how much it is?
Don't forget to ask for ketchup! heheheWhispering Canyon Cafe, “whispering” being a misnomer since you can hear it from across the lobby! Lots of fun, if you want it.

I'm sure as a service it is still available, Disney does not turn down money, however don't expect them to keep to the schedule if they're overworked. Probably best just to call when you need a few new ones. Can we still get everyday towel service if we pay for it? I know we used to be able to do it. If so do you know how much it is?

Thanks. Sounds like a place we will avoid for sensory reasons. Ha!
I’ve heard you can ask to be seated in an area a bit more away from the “happenings” where the servers won’t do their shenanigans. Not sure it’s true, but would make sense. Geyser Point is fantastic and the opposite of WC.Not only can Whispering Canyon be loud, there can be a lot of server shenanigans and interactions (don't ask for ketchup!!). We get a kick out of it, but it's definitely not for everyone - especially if there are sensory issues. Geyser Point will be much more relaxing
.
You can also let the server know you do not wish to participate. We ate there in May and actually I'd say it's toned way way down from what it used to be. I was a bit bummed out by that. If you've ever eaten at 50's Prime Time it's along those lines but different things. 50's Prime Time has been way toned down in our last couple of visits too.Thanks. Sounds like a place we will avoid for sensory reasons. Ha!
Yeah there is an area to the back that is more quiet. We have been sat there a couple of times. I was kind of disappointed because of the fact that it wasn't in the midst of things. May work for someone who wants the quiet.I’ve heard you can ask to be seated in an area a bit more away from the “happenings” where the servers won’t do their shenanigans. Yes, they will put you in that little elevated area behind the big fireplace and between Whispering Canyon and Territory Lounge.Yeah there is an area to the back that is more quiet. I was in the same predicament with my family and eating in Disney. The items they would eat were horrible on our bodies (5+ days of eating french fries with every meal will wear on you) and many of the non-fried items were not made to our specific likes/needs.Thanks for the info. We basically just stick to counter service on our trips anyway so we should be fine. I actually need to look at menus and have some sort of 'game plan' before our trip because I hate wandering around trying to figure out what our son might eat. Ha! So far the only menus I've really looked at in all of WDW are just the ones at Wilderness Lodge.
I know someone else on here can correct me if I'm wrong but the reason there wasn't anyone in the lobby I believe is because it is the first of the DVC's that are in a separate building. So they may have decided to do things differently afterward. Just my guess. Probably wrong lolWe just returned from our first stay at BRV. We all loved it!
I liked that it was small and a very short walk to WL. We had a 2BR villa which was great. The kitchen was very small (compared to other DVC resorts), but we weren't really cooking so that was ok. Just reheating food, using toaster, coffee maker, etc.
I found it odd that there were no cast members in the lobby area. At BLT, VGF and Kidani (all places we've stayed with separate DVC buildings) there were usually at least a cast member or two.
Another strange thing is that the left elevator was broken during our entire stay. This made waiting for the elevator at busy times frustrating.
All in all we really enjoyed our stay there and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!
Glad you liked it! I'm pretty sure the kitchen is almost identical in size to the ones in SSR and BCV villas )(just stayed at BCV last week), but I might be mistaken. Definitely smaller than OKW, but then they all are.We just returned from our first stay at BRV. We all loved it!
