We brought 10 quick & casual connections vouchers with us on our recent WDW trip and were very happy! DH, DD (23), DS (13), and I had dinner in Japan one night at Yakitori House, we saved over $40 and left full and happy. Even those who say they don't like Japanese food will like this restaurant. The chicken and beef is very good.

I wish we were still there!

Also DD, DS and I ate at Beaches & Cream and saved about $15. We also used vouchers at Blizzard Beach. 2 adults and 3 kids (13, 10, 7) ate a good meal using 3 vouchers.

We will certainly use vouchers again!

Great! I'm glad it worked out so well!

Can you tell us how you used them? What did you get and was it enough for all of you? What did you order in Japan? I have some left over from our last trip and I want to make good use of them next time. Thanks!!

Yes, please tell us how you used the vouchers at Yakitori House and saved so much. I was looking at their menu and the most expensive item (entree type) cost $7.50; did they let you order another entree as an appetizer since they don't really have "appetizers" on their menu?

Well I don't remember the name of what I ordered at Yakitori House but here is what was on my tray. My entre was a skewer of beef and one of chicken with white rice, my side dish was the soup and for dessert the only thing they had was walnut cake. I also got a bottle of water. My son got the same thing except his side was another skewer of chicken. My DH & DD got a plate with beef & chicken skewers and a fried shrimp with white rice. They each got a side if rolls (not sushi but rice and vegi's...I don't eat it so not too sure what it is) there were 8 rolls on each tray. They also each got the cake, which was very good, and water. It tasted a bit like pudding and cake. The total including tax was approx $78. I guess my math was a bit off in my first post. Instead of saving $40 we saved $33. It must have felt like $40! Forgive my error!

Still a good savings in my book.

Thanks Yvette! Sounds like they let your DH and DD get the sushi rolls as a side dish, which is good, since those cost about $6 each (almost as much as an entree). Can't wait to eat there!

chicken, and beef skewers that is on the menu on Deb Wills site? It is called something like Kushi Yaki. I never had it myself, but I noticed none of you ordered it. Any updated info? Does it taste good? I normally eat at the chinese counter service each and every trip, but would love to try this!

I don't know if it's on Deb Wills site, but its on the menu in Yakitori. The skewers were delicious! My DS thinks it was called the Yakitori plate.? We also usually eat at the Chinese counter restaurant but felt like something a little different this time. We loved it and will eat there again. Inside the place they have plastic food dishes behind glass to show you what the food will look like. It worked for us.

We just returned from 11 nights in "The World"! We also used the vouchers. The best deal we got was from Rain Forest in AKL. By the way, you can bus over to the AK & not have to actually get into the park to go to Rain Forest. We used 2 of the $30.50 vouchers & our meal came to right at $135.00. Not bad saving $74. For each voucher we got a surf & turf (Lrg steak & 1/2 a maine stuffed lobster with crab meat) which came with rice & veggies (the steak was awesome & the lobster was HUGH); we got some sort of icee slurpy thing for the kids which came in a souvenir glass; appetizers were some crab dip & some cheese sticks; dessert was a volcano (HUGH chocolate thing which looked like a volcano - sides were brownies cut in wedges to sculpt like volcano sides, inside was 2 scoops of ice cream, top was a lrg scoop of whip cream, then totally drenched in hot fudge sauce & topped off with a decorated lrg wooden toothpick thingie that looked like a firecracker going off). We ate here 3 times during our visit because the kids LOVED this place. There were 3 adults & 2 kids in our party & we all shared this meal. We did get a kids meal which was a 3 hamburger meal for $5.99 which we used to supplement our meal with. It also helps getting a waiter who can help you maximize your voucher - his tip rides on what you get with that voucher! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

When we ate at AKL Rainforest Cafe we were told we could not use the voucher for either the appetizer platter or the Volcano dessert, since it was a "dessert for more than one person". We had a really grumpy waitress though....I'd brought in a large lemonade in one of those animal-topper drink mugs from AK that hadn't been finished. I was suggesting to the kids that they share a drink ( thinking we could use the leftover lemonade vs. wasting it by pouring it over ice in a glass) and she butted in, saying " you CANNOT split a drink!!!!!". I politely turned to her and told her I wasn't speaking to her...I was speaking to my kids, and that we didn't intend to order more than the allotted drinks per voucher. Needless to say, I wasn't happy that her tip was included on the voucher since I'd not have left her much.

Last year we ate at RF with 2 vouchers. We had to different dinners. We had the banana crepes - absolutely delicious. I know we couldn't get the big appetizer or volcano either. I would like to eat there again this year, it was well worth the money.

We used 2 Q & C vouchers last year (only saved about $5.00) the waiter/waitress in both places acted like it was a big imposition for them. Hopefully we will get a nicer one this year. My husband thought maybe they were thinking they wouldn't get a tip (since it is suppose to be included??)

We were allowed to get the Volcano by using 2 vouchers. We used 1 Adult and 1 child voucher. This was 3 weeks ago.
The platter was the same way (2 vouchers) but we opted for the quesadillas and the chicken strips instead.
Everything was really good! Our waitress was very helpful and Im sure we had a huge bill but I only saw the tab with the extra drinks on it which came to $9.

I just looked at the rain forest menu and couldn't fing the surf and turf - steak and lobster. Last year I know we would have ordered that. Please help, am I missing something on the menu?

Did you use the $30.50 vouchers at RFC for lunch or dinner? We didn't order any of those as the thought of eating a huge meal in the middle of the day to get the value of the voucher didn't seem like a good idea. Now I'm having second thoughts if they can be used later in the day. Of course now I've cancelled the trial membership it's a little late but with those savings I might consider actually paying the year's fee.

luvdisney14,

The surf and turf isn't advertised on the menu; just ask your server for it.

Where or how do you get these vouchers? I'm really new to these boards, and haven't been able to read as much as I'd like. I apologize in advance if this has been covered before!

Hi!

I was in the same party with or, but we used them for a really late lunch, and they tied us over, and we had mini pizzas in the resort after 8:00 when we got hungry. The vouchers are a GREAT value, and I love WDW!

That's one of my nephews in the above post :) The vouchers we used were the $30.50 ones. We ate a late lunch, like around 3 - 3:30pm. I think the key to them is having a helpful waiter/waitress guide you through using them. They really helped us get so much more value with them.

The larger appetizer trays you do have to use 2 vouchers to get the one lrg tray. However, that one large tray was about $13.00 & getting 2 different appt. (@ about $8 - $9) was better. We did use the 2 vouchers to get the volcano (because is was the larger dessert that fed a party) because the boys wanted it. Ask your waiter for some extra ice cream. We found that there just wasn't enough ice cream for all the brownies & fudge sauce they gave you. We weren't charged for the extra ice cream! We used 2 vouchers for our meal, which fed all 5 of us!!

Highly Highly recommend them & Rain Forest at AK.
