Vistana Resort Questions

A friend of mine is staying at this timeshare resort in a couple of days, and would like to know if there is a shuttle bus to any of the theme parks (WDW, SW and IOA)
Also, are you supplied with towels, and are you able to hire extra for the pools or are they supplied by the pools?

As you may know I am going to the Vistana in Sept and have posted on here before for questions. The best thing to do is to either do a search under Vistana or mumuv2poohs as she has posted a lot of info on this resort. There is also a web page for the Vistana, maybe your friend could email there customer services.

Hi Shirley, you can get towels at the pools. But we never did. We took a few of our beach towels with us on our trip. Since the units have a washer/dryer we just dried them in the dryer so we always had a dry towel. I think they charge you if you call and ask for extras (I may be wrong on this though). The only place I know for sure you can get towels is at the Falls recreation center and the Fountains/Lakes recreation center. I would recommend to your friend to take a few of her own beach towels. As far as the shuttle bus, I never used it if there is one. You might ask your friend to go the Vistana web site, and send an e-mail to them. They are really good about e-mailing you back. Tell her to be sure to go through the Diamond Express Lane - it only took us 5 minutes to get checked in. It was wonderful. Hope your friend has a great trip.

Your villa will be stocked with as many bath towels as the maximum occupancy of the unit (ex., 8 bath towels in a unit that sleeps up to 8). For pool towels, visit any of the recreation centers on the property. They are located near/between the various pools. There, you just sign out as many towels as you need for the pool (up to your unit's occupancy). After swimming, they ask you to return the same number to the same rec center. They're quite pleasant about it.

We used the pool towels but noticed that some people just used their room towels and ran them through their unit's washer/dryer (every unit has one). Enjoy - the pools are lovely.

we had no trouble getting towels.

they run shuttles to WDW parks, i believe for free or a nominal fee--although they don't run a lot of them
we drove our car, and were glad we did.

my DH and DD did take a shuttle to Universal to meet DS and I, who did early entry at IOA with the car.
That shuttle stopped at several other hotels and took forever.
(Not to mention that DH forgot to "listen", had no clue there was either a citiwalk or 2 different parks, and sat for an hour in Universal studios before wondering if something might be "wrong." LOL
