Visa SPD & room only for beginning of 2015 are out!

What if I already have a room booked but just want to apply the SPD discount to that room? Should I have any trouble doing that?

I added the discount to my existing reservation. I was required to put $200 on my Disney Visa card.

I could only get a pool view at POR for Jan 5-10, (I called before 8 am Eastern) she stated that the Garden views were not available at the discount rate. Must change from night to night what is available. She would not, however, allow me to book the Jan 3-4 nights before the discount at full rate. Stated I needed a separate reservation, even with a RO discount.

I have not read all 7 pages of replies so forgive me if this has been covered...

I've only had the disney visa for about 2 months now. Do they email you when new offers become available? I did not receive an email about today's offer(s). Do I need to sign up for email notifications somewhere?

what does S/P/D stand for?

Not sure this was asked, sorry if it was....we plan to check in on March 7th and stay until the 14th so would we get the S/P/D for the week since we check in on the 7th? TIA!

You're supposed to get an email, but they aren't timely (they come well after the offer info is here on the DIS and other areas) or reliable (you may not receive the email).

Stay Play Dine (SPD) is the name for this package where you are (for the most part) paying rack rate for the room and child prices (ages 3-9) for tickets and dining plans for all members of your party.

This is about as specific as I have found, but is it truly child prices for dining and tickets?

Trying to figure out what is best for 4 adults in 1 room.. Doing a RO discount, or S/P/D!

Do you guys have an AP? I wonder if they're changing the rules with the dining plan & tickets...

They did. Months ago. you can book RO and add dining. been that way for at least 3 or 4 months.

Not yet and I did say we weren't sure if we were getting one. She didn't ask for proof. And I did mention that it may just be a resort visit.:confused3

We usually book DVC, so I really am not too familiar won't package rules. But my invoice reflects room with dining plan and no tickets.

If you had booked it under an "AP rate" you wouldn't have gotten a discount at this point. They allow DDP to be added to RO reservations now.

Just curious, has anyone been able to book POR STANDARD view under the room only? I could only get Garden view (as my cheapest option).

I almost went with CSR standard (stayed there twice before and loved it), but I have my heart set on trying a new Mod.

I can't verify what this new SPD package is for sure, but the 2014 version offered for dates in Jan-Mar 2014 was roughly child prices for dining and tickets -- roughly meaning estimates were pretty close if not exact.

Unless some new info comes out (or it has and I haven't seen it yet) I think I'd advise child prices is the way to estimate.

No standards were available for me either. I did switch from POFQ to CSR because I could get a standard at CSR but I called back about 5 mins later feeling like I made the wrong choice and switched to POR garden view.

I'm thinking about switching too- booked WL woods view- standard was not available- go figure! Now thinking about changing to POR maybe- ugh it's one of those things you put so much thought into and hate to make the "wrong decision" seeing all these numbers and deals is making my head spin! :confused3

When I went from a regular package to the SPD plan the extra was about $22.50 per night per adult. So the dinning plan for me was better than the discounted room at CBR.

Our AAA agent called and got room only discount applied at POFQ. Required an upgrade from our booked Garden View from to a River View and since we're only staying 3 nights, we only saved $50, but still $50 more we can spend on Disney stiff instead of on the room.

Sent from my rooted Samsung Galaxy SIII using the DISBoards app

So I was wondering about something. I know the discount for Visa Card Holders came out today and people are saying some resorts are booked already for those dates. What if I have a Ressie for CBR and POP right now at the moment (room only for 7/19-26) and when the new discounts come out in march for those dates, Can they just apply the discount to my already booked ressies or only if theres currently rooms available for those dates still?

I have our reservations linked with my parent's ressies. They have a Disney Visa. Can we call and get discounts on both our ressies using their visa??

We're booked in POFQ so I don't know what to do... 15% isn't that much but I feel like jumping from a standard to a garden/pool/whatever view is available at POR is going to increase our price, not make it go down, which would be counterproductive.:confused3

That room type has to be available for booking to apply a discount. That's why you see people changing room categories or resorts.

Only if there are still rooms in that category available under the discount. It's not an automatic.

Good Luck!
