I see that the weekend room only discount is lower. If you check in on a weekend, do you only get the lower discount for the length of your stay?

I finally got thru. Once it connected it wasn't a long wait at all.

We are looking at 6 nights at POR end Jan to beginning Feb with 5 day tickets.
S/P/D brought the price down from $3767 to $3240. So about 14%. Disappointing to me.
Room only brought are price from $1132 to $964. Only 15%. Not sure how that is the case since the promotion says 25%/20% for mods. Again a bit disappointing.

This is a totally spontaneous trip and won't happen if I don't keep it under a certain price. I didn't book either but will call back.

That seems odd about the rom only discount. Are you sure they were quoting for POR and not POFQ? The discount is only 10-15% at POFQ. Or maybe they had to upgrade the room type based on availability? I called this morning and booked WL but no standard rooms were available. I did end up with a 30% discount for that room type so I am happy.

We are staying at Art of Animation, Lion King Suite. 1/24-2/1/2015

I got a room only discount 20% off weeknights, 15% off weekends.

I was told Art of Animation was excluded from Stay Play Dine, as well as Bay Lake Towers, GF (villas or suites?) and Poly (villas or suites?). Sorry, my notes are bad.

I asked about Stay Play Dine, just out of curiosity... I asked if it was adults at child prices. She looked it up and said it was NOT adults at child prices, but a discount on the room and certain parts of the magic your way package, but couldn't give details on percentage or on what. So you are getting a discount on the dining, but not getting it at child's price like last year?

Who knows what to believe. I might try again.

On hold right now, checking to see if I can save even more money on my POR Dec 15-23 resie.

No pixie dust for me No rooms available at POR for my stay. Might try again when the general public offer is released. The CM told me that they might release more rooms then.

For those who are interested, just called and the only deluxe rates available for Jan 5-11 were GF Lagoon view and Poly regular room. No Club Level available. (maybe she was just giving me rooms on monorail because I see that others got YC quotes)

She said rooms were 'very limited' but who knows what that means.

I was able to get a discount on Poly CL GV for Jan 8-12. Double checked MDE to make sure it's still CL, and it is.

So what's the likelihood that this discount will "sell out" by Thursday (when, presumably, the offer will open to the general public) for POR? Does that happen often?

I could not apply the discount to my AKL CL reservation (arriving on Jan. 4th and discount doesn't start until the 5th) or my GF RPC reservation (no RPC available with the discount.)

I called twice to check on different reservations, and both CMs said that instead of selling out, more discounted rooms should become available when this is rolled out entirely to the general public on Thursday. I have always been concerned about sell-outs when the Disney Visa discounts are released, but both CMs said they will load more to get ready for Thursday. Don't know if that's accurate, but I'm hopeful!

It won't "sell out," but you may not get the resort or the room (preferred room, standard view, etc.) that you want.

The resorts that fill up fast may not have any discounted rooms available when you call, is all. Just be ready to call on Thursday.

For my week, (1/31-2/7) they don't have standard or preferred rooms available. I don't think they sold out, though. I think they were probably never there. YMMV.

It was also tough for us to decide for race weekend - the construction is an issue. Considered staying at GF or CR, but decided the direct monorail to/from Epcot from Poly/TTC will be a great benefit. And the construction will have less of an impact staying CL, I think.

The Poly price should be good, considering the major construction going on there through March of 2015 (pool closed, part of beach closed, center of lobby of GCH closed off, walls all over the place...).

Well I hadn't heard of Poly doing any type of extra discount due to the construction as of yet -- that's why I asked about the comment about the Poly price being very good....wondering if they're finally discounting it more?

I really want to stay at BLT, but every discount seems to exclude the entire resort. I guess I'm hoping for a pin, but even then I'm worried about the BLT exclusion. Anyone get a pin that doesn't exclude BLT?

We were originally booked in a garden view but apparently garden view is not eligible for the discount so we had to upgrade to a pool view/riverside, which is the reason for the rather "small" savings. She said that the discount for POR is 20%. As far as garden view becoming eligible for the discount, she said to check on Thursday, they may open that level for the discount when the discounts become available to everyone.

I booked 2 kids and 2 adults this a.m. at pop for 8 nights (2/28-3/8) and got 6 day tix with he ddp. It saved us $800 on the reg rate!

We had to switch from POFQ to POR Garden View this morning. Garden View was included. Maybe they ran out of that type of room before you called?

Gosh I hate not being able to price things out online -- seems easy enough to allow us -- if the system doesn't recognize a Disney Visa being used then the person cannot book the deal....

Yes, I HATE not being able to see everything upfront. I am estimating taxes and fees to try to compare the room rate I already have. I have called them about 6 times because I keep forgetting to ask various things. Only 1 guy asked me for the first 6 (?) numbers of my VISA card.

The Poly price should be good, considering the major construction going on there through March of 2015 (pool closed, part of beach closed, center of lobby of GCH closed off, walls all over the place...).

Well, it's not that great when I think about it. It's about 30% off the standard rates shown. Then add in your taxes and fees. Still over $500 per night.

It's still expensive, considering that it is under construction. Still A LOT of availability there.

I think I am going to stay at CR.

I called in to book one night before our cruise & the CM said no because it's two night minimum for room only discount but I know last year I was able to book one night with discount. Anyone else able to get one night?
