Visa SPD & room only for beginning of 2015 are out!

If the discount is not good, call back. I checked several resorts and dates. One example is POP for 3 people, 6 nights, 5 day tickets, regular dining - saved $500.

What are you actually saving? 10 days at POFQ and only saved about $300. Is that correct?? Meal plan, tickets included

My understanding is POFQ is excluded from SPD from what is posted in this thread, and the CM I spoke with said it did have a different discount code associated with it. We're staying 9 nights with dining and tickets at POR and saved just under $900 by comparison with SPD.

so what is the discount for s/p/d? Is it the adults pay the kids price? Thinking of doing a birthday trip for my son Dec.14 to 21st. Crazy RIGHT!! Only 69 days if we do.

Does anyone know at what time they open this deal up to non-visa cardholders? If it is available on the 9th - does that mean at 12:01am? Or some other time?
I still need to book our rooms for Jan Marathon weekend! Deciding if it is worth signing up for a disney visa to get a jump start. We are hoping to be at a monorail resort. Is the selection still good once this deal is released to the general public?
Thanks! Kinda clueless about these things.

For those who are interested, just called and the only deluxe rates available for Jan 5-11 were GF Lagoon view and Poly regular room. update- CL was available at Poly didn't ask about GF (maybe she was just giving me rooms on monorail because I see that others got YC quotes)

I didn't check on SPD

She said rooms were 'very limited' but who knows what that means.

Well, this discount is actually costing me money! :rotfl2: We were booked 1 night YC water view club level & then 2 nights garden view club level. When I booked, I couldn't get all 3 nights in the same room. I was able to upgrade to the deluxe room for all 3 nights. I increased my cost by about $360, but saved $290 off the rack rate of the deluxe room. So I'm thinking the deluxe room was discounted by less than 10%, certainly nowhere near 30%. But since it's only a 3 night trip, I wanted to make sure we don't have to change rooms.

Why does my DH's birthday have to coincide with Marathon weekend!!! :crazy2:

The discount doesn't begin until January and runs through March 28th.

For my stay, rack rate is $299 per night before tax if I book online. (I don't want to mess anything up by running it.)

My room only is about $235 per night inclusive of taxes with the Disney Visa discount.

The discount for non-Disney Visa card holders will likely open this week--maybe Thursday, based on historical discounts

The cast member I talked to looked and saw that the general public discount comes out Thursday.

Edit- sorry, my phone didn't show the first comment posted. And I need to learn the correct way to quote. :)

What phone number are people getting thru on. I just get all lines are busy...

I kept getting busy signal. Just keep redialing.

Price for POR S/P/D for Jan 5-11 (and I think she said standard view, garden view, or royal room choices)

3 adults $3566 for 6 nights 7 day hoppers

2 adults $2690 for 6 nights 7 day hoppers

That does not sound right. You should try again. I never can quite understand the discount. But all I've modified so far have been close to kids prices for dining and tickets.

does anyone know what the discount for WL is? 25 or 30%

Also how do I know which will save me more? we are going for 14 nights, Jan24-feb7th and will be getting a 10 day park hopper ( possibly upgrade to AP later one) We weren't planning on getting the meal plan but if its a better deal to get it then we will...

Play Stay and Dine does run in December. December 14-20 to be exact.

I've already been holding for 30 minutes!

Our current reservations are 12-13 through 12-21 @ WL CL and 8 day hoppers paid in full. I wonder what the chances are that I'll be able to add back the dining that I cancelled a month ago?

Booked room only discount at CSR, preferred room, for the end of January. Discount came out to 25% off weekday rate & 22% off weekend rate. Ended up saving roughly $225 for a 5 day stay. Time to go make another ticker :).

30% discount for VWL February 7-13.

Beware: Apparently the system is changing room types when the discount is added. It defaulted me from a 1BR to a Studio, and the CM said it changes her last caller from standard to preferred. Took me a second call to get it reversed. Fortunately, a 1BR was available for the discount when I called back.
