Rooms are for sale now. There are 4 listed in the shop tab. Three are the same victorian room with different wallpaper and the other one looks like a ballroom or something. I have not bought one, so I am not sure if we can enter them yet.

You can enter them and furnish them. I bought one of the new ones and it is now "Main Street Ice Cream Cafe" (you can't say parlor!)

It's also a good trick to get from anywhere in VFK to the Victorian area quickly. Just click on the house button, choose someone's Victorian (not Colonial) room, and go there... then exit right away, and you are on one of the Victorian streets. Saved me some time in the ice cream quest.

So I killed some yesterday morning and did the Ice Cream quest....At the end I didn't get my Ice Cream (which is ok, I need to cut back anyway), nor did I get the credits. I thought it would just take some time to appear...but this morning theres still nothing there. Anyone else experience this?

Did u get the ice cream cart? If u did not get any prizes perhaps u did not complete quest bc it has you continue until u get a message that your account has been awarded prizes. If that is the case, u may still have that message under quest button. If u did complete it plz let a host know bc other ppl have been given their prizes after the other quests ended. GL

Don't remember anything about an Ice Cream cart. I just followed the instructions as they were presented...I did check my messages...none...and the quest button currently says the quest is closed so I'll try again later today. If it is complete and there still isn't anything there, I'll just send them a note thru their contact us link...that should do the trick.

Edit: Items are now there. The quest button worked once the kingdom opened and I just had to proceed to the next step...not sure how I missed that yesterday though...

So glad you did not have to try to collect prizes. I think it is very easy to think we are done with the quest and overlook the message to continue.

Glad to hear the items were eventually in your inventory. It was the first time I have heard of such a bug. If they were not in inventory, in addition to writing in with the details I would have suggested looking on the popular room list for a room owned by staff.

Largest Palm Tree In VFK!

The first day of summer and the first day of our room list we found lots of great rooms and we discovered the largest palm tree in VFK to cool off under!

It's still coming out on the date June 26, not 28th. If I were in charge I would
delay it about half a month to a month. But maybe if they fix all the bugs
and release Australian land, a few more mini games, trading, ignore button,
more rooms, etc in 4 days then I guess they're on a roll.

And by the way, it was a prize from a quest that taught you the
history of ice cream. And it's a family history game. It doesn't have to have
just historical items. VMK didn't have just Disney items.

As far as the history aspect of the game, they claim it is a history game..which teaches you the history of all random things? First it was surfing, now ice cream..next up, the history of the electric kitchen? skiing?

Don't get me wrong but with all those settings clearly reffering to certain historical periods, one would expect the game to be more history related. Just take a look at all the furniture. Had you not known it was a history game,would you understand that it was from the palm trees, crates, ice cream stands and flowery chairs (and many more not history related furnish). I made no comparison to vmk furniture because I like to think of them as different games but as you can see they are doing their best to make them look the same.

You are right, that's why I said hopefully they are working on fixing things. It was wishful thinking.

I think they are trying to make the history part interesting, since so many kids complained about history being boring. Choosing things like ice cream instead of more serious topics is a way of getting the history in there without turning people off. The ice cream cart fits in with the victorian period quite well, the flowery chairs and lava lamps are from the sixties - recent history, but still history to kids born in the nineties.

This all reminds me of what I learn in this "Drugs and Society" course I'm taking for college! Such a vast history of drugs
