You can't possibly think I am the only one that doesnt think the game is very good and my wonderful personality is converting people to agree with me.

You know A, You and I never saw eye to eye since the very mention of VFK lol
I have to say I a m a current convert lol

My reasoning is this..I really really thought this game had some potential.
I still do but not under the current developers. This is NOT a beta test, it is an Alpha test. They are not fixing the issues in the game, yet continue to add new features. If they release this game on June 26th as it is, it will be a complete failure.
There is ONE game open right now and only a select handful are good enough to get a decent score, so while those people are already VFK millionaires, the rest of us are dirt poor. They started quests already!!! with no world map I think it took me over an hour to complete a 10 minute quest.
For those who say we cant compare VFK to VMK...HOW on earth do you suppose we do that???? It was MADE to mimic VMK, I think the original plan was to take all the good from VMK and make a new game, learning from their mistakes...well they are failing miserably.
I agree with Aaengus, they need to make a public statement saying that they are way behind and are going to extend the beta program a bit longer.
They need to stop adding and fix what isnt working. And untl they come up with a wider variety of games so every one has an even chance at earning credits, they should close the bird game, it never works for me anyway too many bugs.

VFK I Scream for Ice Cream Quest

June 20th (Friday), 7:00 AM Pacific Time, to June 21st (Saturday), 10:00 PM Pacific Time

With all this hot summer weather we need something to beat the summer heat and what is better then Ice Cream!!
This Friday and Saturday play our "I Scream for Ice Cream" quest and learn all the chilling history about Ice Cream, and maybe a little about popsicles too!
Get ready for some cool summer fun and prizes this weekend! Be there or be square.
Once you complete the quest, you will receive 1,000 credits to help you buy new rooms that are coming soon, a red and white ice cream cart, and your choice of either chocolate or strawberry ice cream parfait!

I can't choose between strawberry and choclate in real life, how do they expect me to choose virtually? lol Deciding which I want will probably take me longer than completing the quest.

Actually I went shopping around to several other forums the past couple of days to see if we (self included) were being to critical.

The forums that are dedicated to VFK, or have a very large community investment into VFK are HUG FEST 2008

The forums that VFK is not a major focus on (like the DIS) are more critical

I think the love/hate VFK is less about the game and more about the fear a community/sites are about to crumble.

I will compliment the graphics on the ice scream stuff, I have not liked their graphics at all to date. These are really really nice. I haven't changed my mind. They should be fixing things, not questing or adding, but felt a compliment on the graphics was in order.

You can only play the shell game with your audience for so long, but I guess a whole new chapter will unfold in 6 days.

There is still no map but staff said map should come very soon after this quest,
along with the trade option. Staff also said that the room list should
come out today, but the Australian Outback land (that was due for release
June 20th) is being delayed.

No map, and it has you returning to places you left a few tasks before that, so you're going back and forth. Wear your hiking boots!

I see on the top of the rooms list Fin has a room, imagine my glee. I go in, hoping to see fin buddy.. well I do, but also in there is cricket, VFK_Test and butterfly, I was hoping to say hi to fin, but I was booted. But I did read them saying they can't lock their rooms, and they are confused. (they were the only ones there)

If anyone else wants another laugh,

I was in a room talking with some friends and then I said, "I think smallworlds is a little better then VFK" and "I think smallworlds is pretty fun" then I was exited back to my room and VFK_Tiger was there all she said was : "Hiya, Please dont talk about smallworlds!" and left. now why didnt she warn me in the public room with my friends and lots of others around? I mean it would have been a good way to show people not to talk about Smallworlds in VFK, but seems to me that it was just a "dont talk about another game in here or else, because we are losing players" thing.

There was a blurb on the home page a while back that said they were holding off on implementing the Welcoming commitee until further notice.

Rooms are for sale now. There are 4 listed in the shop tab. Three are the same victorian room with different wallpaper and the other one looks like a ballroom or something. I have not bought one, so I am not sure if we can enter them yet.
