Hi, i'm sure this has been asked before, i'm trying to decide between virgin PE or First Choice PE.....we have flown FC twice before & found it fab- my DH is 6'7 so PE with the leg room is a must!- only this year Virgin sale prices are coming out almost the same :rolleyes2.
Its a bit of a rush, got to decided by saturday as my Disney balance is due on sunday, there is a possibilty we might have to cancel altogether, due to horrible family circumstances we have been going thu the past 12 months :( So i'm trying to make an informed decision, not just run away to Disney & hope all will be well.....I know there is so much knowledge on these boards from past planning, that this is the place to start!

Thanks in advance xx

where would you rather fly into Orlando MCO or Sanford Airport? Personally I would go with MCO if the prices are about the same because its closer. Also if you do have to canx what are their cancellation fees..I should imagine they are similar but you never know.

We have flown PE/VA but never flown with First Choice..

Hope your family crisis sorts itself out and you don't have to canx.

I would much rather use PE with Thomson, the only reason I would use virgin is to take advantage of the magical express

I think you get much more bang for your buck with the charter airlines premium cabins but I wouldn't want to fly to Sanford and VA is more generous with baggage allowance and since those two things are important to me, VA would win with these two options

If you're hiring a car anyway, I don't see you can lose much by going with FC though. Not sure if it's changed but Thomson/FC/TC etc always offered their upgrades for the return route so the price quoted is for both sectors of the journey, whereas with VA and the other scheduled airlines, you pay per person per sector.

oh yes totally forgot about the luggage allowance difference...that is a MAJOR factor for us as well. Even VA economy is way better then the charters...we need all the allowance we can get;)

Ooh, i'd not given luggage allowance a thought....its never enough, lol

well I think you have your answer then:) VA/PE it is!! You'll get loads more shopping in that allowance:rotfl:

OMG! You get 2 bags at 23kg?? Plus 23kg for children?! Thats fab, v impressed, no more hubby moaning about to much stuff!

I'm hunting around for information on both flights now, just intrested what ppl experiences have been. If we do go ahead I'm a bit worried thats i've done no planning yet :confused3
