Virgin Atlantic - How Early?

Hello

I'm planning on using Twilight Check In at Gatwick and Downtown Disney Check In. That being the case, at what time do I need to be at the airport in order to clear security and be at the gate? An hour before departure? Is that enough?

Any advice and tips welcome

I would leave two hours because the x-ray screening of hand-luggage ALWAYS seems to have endless queues.

I think you need to report to the gate about 45 mins to an hour before your flight - or something like that. The gate is a bit of a walk from the departure lounge and it can take quite a while to get through the security checks, especially if it's busy. I would say get to the airport at least two hours before your flight time.

I agree with the 2 hours - it took us over an hour to get through customs and take the long walk and then bus to the departure gate last time
