Villians Sinister Soirée

Good for all of those who can attend -it does sound fun - but wow, the special event within the special event costs more than the original special event itself?? If it included party admission I'd be all over it - sounds awesome! But for my family we'd be pushing $1K for one special event night! Yikes!! :scared1:

I look forward to the reviews of it though! :)

On the event page on the Disney website it says "Join Lady Tremaine and her villainous friends" so I imaging they will be in the restaurant as well.

Who though? Friends with Lady Tremaine for me sounds like the step sisters.

If there was an actual meet and greet with villains I think they'd be pumping that info out. And since it doesn't say anything about a meet and greet or photo op at all, it's definitely not something I'm interested in.

Here's the thing I think it's too much. And going with 2 six year olds who may or may not be in the mood to watch the parade/fireworks I'm not paying 400 dollars on top of the mnsshp tickets for this. BUT the only way to stop this is for guests to not go. And if they sell out well they certainly won't stop.

I also wonder if next year Villains Unleashed with include a Premium event like this. I wasn't at the Villains Unleashed but heard a lot about it, mostly negative. And I wonder if they Brown Derby will end up being a premium spot and maybe premium spots for the fireworks.

I'm guessing, since there's no child price for this event, that they're gearing this toward adults only.

Let me understand....for about $700 a family of four can have an evening with rides, costumed villain characters, a parade, fireworks, and dessert?

Could I save almost $450 of that (4x$99 plus tax) and use the savings to buy my own dessert and still have all the rest?

You can save even more if you just eat Trick or Treat candy as dessert! :lmao:

Well, you wouldn't get the elite selection of costumed villain characters, however that should be offset by the satisfaction that you didn't let the REAL villains steal $400 from your family.

If there was champagne or specialty drinks included, I wouldn't think twice about this.

Not necessarily. The price reflects the fact that every attendee gets the same thing (no restricted alternate menu or event for children). There's no alcohol being served. Children under 3 may attend for free. If the event were geared toward adults only, you would need a ticket for children under 3 as well.

I don't think because it says friends it means specifically only those villains in her story. Maybe the dance party villains will come over, so that's Dr. Facillier and Cruella. Maybe the villains from the Villains Castle Show will stop in, Queen of Hearts, Frollo, Captain Hook, Maleficent Maybe extra villains who showed up at Villains Unleashed will be there. Bowler Hat Guy, The Witch, Ratcliffe. There's a long list that covers who her "Villainous Friends" could be.

Well, based on the lap dancer/fire eater they had the other night, I'd guess that's their new demographic.

There was a warning on the website and the sign that the show might be too intense for young children. I'm definitely on the fence about having adult only entertainment/offerings. Is t that why Pleasure Island finally closed?

I'm not interested in spending $100pp for a 'maybe.' If Lady Tremaine is the big headliner of the event, I'm completely unimpressed. You can see her on a normal day/dinner.

They released villains all over the park and the new dance party with specifics - there's no reason to assume they wouldn't do the same for this if the popular villains would be there.

Pleasure Island closed so they could rent out most of the retail and all restaurant areas at DTD to third parties.

It says "friends" so they can get away with having different villains there based on availability of performers. So no, other than Lady Tremaine there will be no guarantees regarding which villains you will see.

Reserved parade viewing is only for the 8:15 parade, so will both seatings be watching the parade at the same time?

That's how I understood it. If so, I guess we'll be waiting until the second parade this year.

And it's in MK so people can't try to make up the cost in alcohol. ;)

I guess since seating will be limited based on the capacity of CRT, they feel that justifies the cost. Disney knows that many families are being priced out of a Disney vacation, so they are looking for ways to get the families with larger amounts of disposable income to spend more for "exclusive" experiences. I understand it, but I don't like it.

And if I was going to spend that much money, I would just attend MNSHHP on a second night.

This is a creepy trend. If this works well, what's to stop Disney from creating specialty events where you can see certain groups of characters exclusively?
