Restaurant Feedback

Any feedback for Space 220? The menu looks very basic. My husband would get the burger. Worth it at all?
We did Space 220 dining (not the lounge). This one is tough for me. We were sat in the center so it really took away from the theming, which is why we went.

Food and server took a long time which was upsetting to us because it took away from our park time and we had a LL for Guardians right after and we almost missed our time.

With that said. They made a special meal for my son due to our special diet. They gave him enough food for 3 days. Which normally is like awesome! But when not headed back to the room makes leftovers inconvenient. His meal was basically spaghetti.

I ate one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life there. So that’s why I am torn. I dream about this dish. It was just so amazing. It was the Beet Salad made vegan.

I just realized that I was in my booking window for my March visit. I kind of panicked and looked at a few menus and made a few reservations. Do you recommend any of these or recommend cancelling any? 2 adults, one has dietary restrictions and can't eat gluten. I prefer not much fried food because we're going on a cruise right after and I don't want to feel dragged down.

MK: Skipper Canteen
Epcot: Le Cellier
Hollywood studios: Brown Derby

We'll also have a full resort day at Copper Creek. I think all the restaurants there sound good and I haven't made any reservations. I think I can just join a walk-up list and be happy anywhere there. That said, let me know if I should make a reservation for anything. It's a full day (breakfast lunch and dinner).
I would swap out Le Cellier for Flying Fish on the Boardwalk. Same price point.

For the MK…. I personally would jump on a boat to go to Wailulu at Poly or Narcoossee's/Cítricos at the Grand Floridian. Different price point though.

Brown Derby is fantastic.

Topolinos has my wife’s favorite steak on property and she loves the olive oil they have with the allergy friendly bread. If thats in your plans I would do that over Le Cellier 100%

We did Space 220 lunch with the 7 year old grand niece. She was entranced by the whole experience, and got a little Disney magic when they let her keep her "boarding pass". My steak was good, but not spectacular. My wife's salmon was, in her words, the best salmon she's ever had. The other member of our party had the tuna, which she enjoyed. The 7 year old, coming from a foodie family, not surprisingly decided on the salmon. She said she enjoyed it.

Budget 20-30 minutes to get to Topolinos once outside the International Gateway, assuming the Skyliner isn't down due to a storm or other mishap. Topolinos can be a long meal experience once you include the travel time, so if you're on a time crunch, it's best to choose something closer like Yachtsman Steak House, Trattoria Al Forno, Cape May Cafe, Flying Fish, or something inside Epcot.

I'm taking Topolinos off the table. I don't want to give up that much time on such a short trip.

We wanted to go to Flying fish last time and didn't because we were sick. How much time to walk there from Epcot? My husband actually doesn't walk much so I might just stay in the park. Space 220 is sounding like a reasonable option.

I'm still holding Le Cellier, but also just booked Topolios. I might cancel one or both. Follow up questions.

How much time would it take to leave the park to go to Topolinos and go back to the park? Not anything about how long the meal is. I don't really want to leave the park. So, if it takes much time, it's a no go for this time.

As others have said, you're looking at about 20 minutes (30+ if it's closer to Epcot closing) via Skyliner to Topolino's. While Topolino's is excellent, it may not be worth the time out of the park, depending on how important park time is.

I'm always torn about recommending Space 220. We've been there 3 times and have always had an excellent experience, but the price, the interest (or lack thereof) in the "traveling to a space station" theme, and the seating location you get will all come into play, and I can see how a bad experience/opinion on any one of those things could make it completely not worth it.

For Topolino’s, I’d probably budget 20-30 each way & give myself 1 1/2- 2 hours for dinner time. (2 1/2-3 hours). (If going Skyliner to eat….Sabastian’s at Carribean Beach is a well priced good meal spot. (About same time period going there).
While I agree that Sebastian's is pretty good, it's kind of an apples-to-oranges comparison when someone is asking about Topolino's.

I think that this is good advice, unless you really want to try Topolino's, or go to the parks all the time and don't mind traveling that far out of the way.

Aren’t Topolinos and Flying Fish almost next door to each other.?

You could always take the boat. Once you get off the boat it is pretty much right there to the left. Flying Fish has an excellent steak.

I have never eaten at Flying Fish, but among locals I've heard talk of decreasing quality recently. Is that not the case, in your opinion?

I can't speak for the seafood which of course is a big part of their menu but we have been satisfied the last couple of visits with the steaks.

You all had me with Space 220, but there aren't any reservations now. 😐 I'll probably keep checking. I don't know if it's the same as Disneyland in California - but, at Disneyland, I can almost always score a walk up when it's only one or two people. So, for now, I'm going to forgo my Epcot dining reservation. I'll keep checking for space 220 and I'll also be happy with Flying fish (even if we sit at the bar).

I can't speak about Space 220 recently, but we're local and I almost never book ADR's further than a week out, and most of the time these days about 90% of all restaurants are available. So if you're interested, I would keep checking as you get closer.

We ate there last March and it was excellent. Had seafood. Never have tried their steak
Thanks to both of you for the feedback. The Boardwalk is a pain to get to, so I don't make it there very often, but will need to make a point to go to Flying Fish one of these days.
