Villians Sinister Soirée

I was thinking the fireworks viewing would be in the Rose Garden like it is for FP+. I don't think that close up in the hub is really considered prime fireworks viewing, especially since I think Hallowishes has perimeter fireworks.

The rose garden isn't a prime viewing area because you are off centered from the castle. The central hub is because you are centered with the castle and the 180 degree fireworks surround you. We generally get a spot right behind the hub and it's an amazing view. And for the parade the rose garden wouldn't be a very good spot. I believe I did read somewhere and am pretty sure the CM on the phone told me that it was in the central hub.

I just got this email a little while ago and I have been on hold for about ten minutes now. Realistically, am I out of luck?

Don't hang up. I just put my phone on speaker and set it down beside me while I worked. Some nights are sold out, but some nights are not. FYI- unless the calls have died down you are going to be on hold for a lot longer than 10 minutes. I was on almost an hour and a half.

FYI- in the comments section of the Disney Parks Blog on it this afternoon, one of the responses by Disney was that the villians will visiting the tables for pictures with the guests. I hope it will be a set crew and not different on different nights. I guess we will have to see when the reviews start coming in. If Maleficient isn't doing meet and greets, that will make our decision a lot easier. The blog hints "maybe you'll see the Evil Queen, Maleficient, Cruella de Vil or Dr. Facilier". For that price, we better see all of them!!!

I already posted on this thread that this event is too rich for my blood and made my decision against it. Now you are telling me this. I have not stopped thinking about it all day and I keep having talks with myself about how what if we don't go back for MNSSHP again for awhile and this is long gone and it was wonderful and we missed it. In 2 years, will I remember this experience or be glad I still have that money in the bank (that I'm sure I will have squandered here or there by then anyway!). Geez, maybe I'll call and it will be sold out and I can get on with my life. But then again, if it DOES sell out I can always call multiple times a day for cancellations!!! :crazy2: Joking. Mostly.

I just called and was on hold for an hour. Both of my dates were sold out - September 26th and September 28th :( and I'm going on a solo trip so I only needed one spot. If someone happens to cancel, please let me know. I'm so bummed! I'm making this trip solely for MNSSHP so I would have loved to go.

ETA: Thanks some kind people below, I called back and was able to get September 26th. If you're going solo, ask them to check for two people. I didn't check on September 28th this time around, so it may or may not be available. YMMV.

Some people have had success booking for 2 and then you can call tomorrow and cancel one

Someone earlier up the thread said that he was turned away when booking for 1 but was able to book for 2 when he called back.

We are going to our first ever party on the 1st. I told DH all about this when i saw it posted this morning. He was all for it, until I explained it costs well more than the cost of the party! :rotfl2: For those of you that go, I hope it's glorious. :yay:

It's not like the park is anywhere near fire code capacity on party nights. Disney can sell as many tickets as they think they can get away with. And I think we can all agree that's sort of like putting the fox in charge of the hen house.

We were at 3 sold out parties last year. While we had the best time, sold out felt more crowded than past.

I'm going to the first one and after reading the blog on here about the Villains Unleashed party and giving tickets for mnsshp as comp, I'm hoping this first party doesn't fill.

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2: You totally sound like me a few hours ago!!!! Not to be an enabler, but I feel much better now knowing that I have the option.

unbeknownst, look at Horse11's post above. It showed sold out for 1, but let it be booked for 2, and then the person can call and cancel later.

Thanks guys, back on hold I go. ugh. seems crazy that I have to do that in order to pay them money, but whatever.

We are going to the party on 9/1 as well--- asked our kids what they thought about doing this event, and they are both happy with our "Crystal Palace" dinner that night with the dessert bar--- and we chose to get tix for "La Nouba" and eat at "Raglan Road" for dinner this Friday--- all for less than the extra $400!

But agree-- for all that do go--- have a blast!!!

So you are saying you sounded like a lunatic a few hours ago? :lmao: It truly is a sickness. But I just am such a villain person. Oh for crying out loud, I'm off to call. Now I just hope Unbeknownst was turned away because he was a party of 1 because 9/26 is our date. :scared:

Despite my disappointment with villains unleashed I booked this in hopes of having a better and hopefully much less crowded experience with the villains! I figure this has to be limited to the restaurant capacity and I like the idea of a designated area for the parade and fireworks. After Saturday night I am not looking forward to more crowds, and having a designated area sounds great to me right now. And i am super excited about a villains themed dessert party in CRT. haven't been to CRT since i was a little girl, it will be fun to be in the castle again. Plus i don't drink, so the special non alcohol cocktails sound great to me :goodvibes My sister and I are repeating our Siamese Cats costumes we wore on Saturday. Hoping for a better experience! But I am keeping an eye on the reviews for this! We are booked for Sep 23.

I agree. But consider it better viewing than the hub. That's really too close to see most of the high bursts very well. But it probably makes sense to keep everyone in place instead of moving.

I think all of us Disney addicts are a little crazy lol!!!! :rotfl: I went back and forth on this so much earlier! So I finally booked it! Steep yes but if I don't do it and wish I had it will cost a lot more for us to add an extra trip next September so I can go cause I nkow that would be an excuse I would use :rotfl2:

When I booked mine the cast member mentioned the fireworks and parade viewing was going to be near the Plaza restaurant. Then again a cast member said that which means it's probably going to be somewhere else.
