Villians Sinister Soirée

From the WDW website: Starting at 7:30 PM, you may check in at the parade and fireworks viewing area in the central plaza by the Castle Forecourt Stage.

I don't know about leaving and coming back, but I'm guessing people will stay because it will likely go from the parade, to the Villians Castle Show, to the Castle projection show (assuming there is one), to the fireworks.

Will this spot be too close to see the firworks and projector show on the castle? Is this also where you can see the villians for their show and meet and greet?

The OP of this thread needs to come back and keep page 1 updated with the sold out dates. According to people on this thread that appears to be September 28th and October 10th so far?

And some one on this thread also said October 31st

I'm under the assumption that there is no longer a traditional meet and greet for party guests like in years past. I think the Soiree IS the new meet and greet. I think it's just a show now.

Keep buying the tickets and Disney will keep on creating ridiculous events within events to oversell. I swear, if they offered an add-on event to MVMCP where you meet Anna and Elsa, then get trampled by a pack of wild reindeer and are then dragged along Main St in a sled driven by Kristoff, Disney would gladly charge 200 bucks for it - and it would sell out.

I just booked sept 28 waited an hour felt good after giving Disney 200.00 LOL such an addict.

I'm starting to think that classic central reservations goofs are at play here and some people are being told different things. That doesn't bode well from the get go.

My guess is that while you might be able to leave and come back, you will likely not want to do so because you will lose whatever space you had and be back at the back of the pack again. From my experience with the Frozen Premiere Package, when you buy a package like this you are now competing for space with other hardcore fans who have paid a bundle and want their money's worth, too, and it doesn't make for the most congenial of exchanges. Add to that that CM's will likely be little help if things go pear-shaped (going from Frozen experience) and you'd be better off nailing yourself to your spot if you get a good one.

Suckers! :lmao:

You all are part of the problem....not the solution.

Did you see the updated website no longer says VM&M. It now says Villains Castle Show. Guess that answers that question.
Yep. And look what it said under 30 days ago...

The sad thing is, you're right.

I LOVE special Disney exclusive parties and things like this, but for $99 a person I won't be buying. I was at Villan's Unleashed and enjoyed it although it was crowded, but I am now afraid of Disney overselling everything villan related. I love MNSSHP, so I do not want to waste party time on the possibility of another villan oversell. I'm not spending $200 to find out if they do it again. :sad2: I'd do it if it was closer to $50. It shouldn't cost more than the party ticket itself, IMO. (ya listening, Disney!?)

"Negatively affected"... I'd personally agree 100% if you couldn't meet all/most of the villains elsewhere during the event. Sounds like you will be able to, though. Maybe not all -- as you said we don't know yet.

No we don't know...which is why I said it's a valid concern/worry. I can absolutely understand why someone would be concerned about this if they had already bought a MNSSHP ticket expecting to be able to see certain characters and now not being sure which characters they'll see.

The way they ran the VM&M M&G up until now is something I would NEVER do -- always looked like a madhouse to me which meant we wouldn't meet some of those guys. Having the villains available to meet elsewhere would POSITIVELY affect my experience even if I wasn't going to the soirée. Eye of the beholder, again.

I'm not disagreeing that how it was run was poor. There's a huge pool of possibilities of how Disney could have addressed that between the madhouse it was and a paid special event. So yes, I agree that addressing the madhouse that it was is a positive effect, but if someone really wanted to meet those characters and can't afford another *higher* special event cost to see them and IF Disney limits access to those characters b/c of the new event, then I can see how it would not be a net positive result for others.

For me personally, it's a non issue. I'm not interested enough in the Villains to spend that much money to go see them, or to deal with the craziness of the meet and greet as it was before. Just because it doesn't affect me, or might affect me positively, doesn't mean I can't understand the concern/worry/dislike others may have, or that I can't have a general concern about the continued direction Disney's decisions are taking.

OMG, you're kidding? I tried and was told they were sold out, when I asked for a 1 person ressie. Will try it this way! Thanks for the info!

I hope you're successful Karen!

Are you thinking they are taking away the villains meet & greet piece of this? Because if they did that and didn't put them anywhere else but the $99 special event, that would not be pretty.

Give me back the FP+ smiley I gave you. You aren't worthy. :rotfl:

They would if they could...
