So happy for a place to get some feedback on this…
During MM at AK in January I was with a friend, she pointed out that the Garden Rocks lineup was announced. My fave band was scheduled to play my bday weekend which was the weekend before I start work for the season. I went on the DVC website to book a room and there was nothing so I waitlisted BWV and booked Pop. I checked and checked and stalked and checked and stalked with no luck. Approximately six weeks after making the waitlist, 6 days before I was traveling, I went to the DVC website to book a trip for next January and I saw the “we can’t wait to welcome you home”.
My waitlist had matched but I never received an email. I called MS to book the trip for next Jan and I asked the CS rep when the waitlist matched. Jan 29th! I booked the waitlist on Jan 21st. March 6th, by chance I saw that it had matched. Like I said, I was on the DVC website looking for a room until mid Feb and never saw anything.
Luckily I was able to cancel Pop.
Has anything like this ever happened to anyone else??

I have Elephants booked. So excited for this trip, to do more than just the normal stuff.

Definitely fun. The Rhino is the most “up close” of them all. Visit the barn area and actually feel one!

We did rhinos and elephants this past January. Second time for both, highly recommend them! Wild Africa Trek is fantastic too!

Yes, I have had a waitlist match and didnt get the email.

But, when I have a waitlist in place, I am on daily stalking so I saw it pretty quickly.

That’s just it, I was stalking. I was on vacation and just sat by the pool hitting refresh hour after hour without any notification.

They really need to improve the waitlist notifications. So glad you got the reservation though

I was trying to get AI to make a graphic to remind me when I can book. The colors/design isn't perfect but it's the best I could get. I printed it out to put on my bulletin board. This isn't worth a separate thread, so sharing here in case anyone would find it helpful.

My spouse and I were just talking about this. We are staying in a 2BR villa at SSR at the end of the year with some family members. Said going from that to a studio may make us want to get more points.

Our first DVC stay was 6 months after membership. Did a split stay May 2021: deluxe studio (resort view) VGF, 2 nights, followed by at our first home resort, one bedroom BCV, 3 nights. (Will always remember the first!).

I’m confused? I thought you said you noticed on your dashboard the new room was confirmed but didn’t get an email.

Stalking iwill only show what is available and wouldn’t be related to your waitlist.

It really would be great to have something that says pending when it is waiting for processing.

There is really no going back to a studio, unless it's for 2 person. 1BR and above makes DVC magical. Studio just enable us to buy in for cost savings.

I have a rolling task on my calendar for modifying reservations on the first of the month. But definitely not as pretty as this!

We’re currently booked in a 2br at BWV for January 2027 for our group of 6. My kids are begging me to stay in a cabin in FW instead. We’ve never stayed there but we’ve visited several times and they love it. It would be a lot less points, but we’d be more squished then in the 2 br. I would prefer BWV, but my kids don’t usually make any special requests on our trips so I’d feel bad not giving in and making them happy. My DH doesn’t care either way lol. Of course this is assuming I’ll be able to get two weeks in a cabin at 7 months. Maybe I won’t and the whole thing will be moot. Or maybe I’ll just tell them I can’t? Lol.
