videographer, any recommendations??

Starfruit didn't really budge for me either - it was 1900 minimum for her packages

i can't tell you how amazing she is, even if she is a bit higher priced than everyone else. my video is amazing. it really is! she even personalized the case for us with pictures, which i wasn't expecting at all!

:goodvibes Thanks Again Caryn, I'm still considering her though, But I think I just caught her at the end of her 'small' time and now she's made it big. I'm actually thinking of going for the 24oo package if we can swing it.

It's between her and STVS for us. Kennedy Video just ignored me (like Jack Day is too) and I decided against A Moment to Remember.

Did Sage let you make edits on your video? Does she charge more for stylized editing vs. Stan's editing? I was going to ask her but I'd figured I'd just ask you now since I was here posting :goodvibes

I'm still waiting for my demo dvd from her

we didn't need to. she did such a great job, and that's part of what mark does for a living for his own business, so if he says it's fine, i'm down with it too!

Has anyone used apexmedia?

I got in touch with Sage but her prices jumped up to $1800 including the discount mentioning Caryn & Carrie. She was really nice but after adding the raw footage and returning for the DP we were looking at over $2300, which is definitely over my budget.

I'm waiting for amoment2remember to send an example of a Disney wedding and I'm also finding Stan @stvsweddings a bit too pricey. Ahhhh! Who'd of thought it would be so hard to find a videographer. lol

we looked at apex but really wanted to use stan so we decided just to go for it as pics and video will last hopefully forever

Yes, she lets you see your video and make changes if you want. I'm expecting my "director's cut" any day now, and she's been very collaborative the whole way - I submitted photos for her to use and told her exactly what music should be played when.

Her style does not cost extra - she's just that good! :goodvibes It is a drag that her prices have gone up, I have to say... but there is a huge difference in the kind of product you get with Sage vs. the budget video services - and I'm not bagging on them. I think they really are better if you're on a budget and just want a basic record of your day, not a documentary film! :thumbsup2

were facing the same problem, by the time we finally got our confirmation from disney about our wedding date, starfruit raised their prices a whole lot more from what we were first told. So now we have to re look at your budget, but at this point we may not be able to afford them. so were trying to see if stvs video, might be more doable pricewise, unless someone else has any suggestions on other videographers that have not been mentioned.
We were just seriously surprised how much their prices changed.

I went to a bridal show in Orlando a few weeks ago and fell in love with tincanweddings.com They had a bride show special of 799 for unlimited hours, 2 video camera at the ceremony, and one at the reception, with editing, and some other things I can't remember right now. The package is normally 1299. We were told that in order to get the special we had to book within a week after the show, but they have the price listed online and when I called to book, they really weren't in any rush to push me to get booked and I got the price. I don't know if you could call and say you want the bridal show price?? The show I went to was sooooo crowded, I don't know how they would know who was there or not. We originally weren't going to do any video at all, but then after seeing some, I knew the day would go so fast and I would want to relive it. We just wanted something basic and were even thinking of using a family member, but then we found tincanweddings. The biggest thing for us was the unlimited hours, most places we compared to only had one camera, no editing, and about 6 hours for that same price so we couldnt pass this up. Hope this helps!

Just wanted to let you know that my sister "ABBYPAN" used Stan and the video is awesome! We did opt for the HI DEF version so it was def more money but well worth it! I know my sister has her link up somewhere on his site in case your interested in checking it out.

Stan also works great with Randy just as a sidenote!:hippie:

Ok, I in no way mean offense to anyone, but is videography still 'in'? Everything I've seen is so darn cheesy, I can't take the slow, blurry effects, staged scenes, and the whole thing seems so outdated. Have I just seen the wrong examples?

:flower3: I promise I mean no harm, I'm just very curious!!

That's exactly why we went with Star Fruit Productions! Her stuff looks like film, and it's edited like a movie. We didn't want the usual shaky camera work, amateurish digital effects, staged scenes, etc....

Would you really not want a video to remember your wedding day just because it's not 'in'? When it's all said and done, all you have left is your pictures and video. The cheesy stuff isn't necessary at all, all you have to do is tell your videographer what you like and don't like.

I'm going to chime in here for STVS. We used him and our video turned out great. We chose the stylized edit and I think the style is fantastic. I know it's on Stan's site under the Special Effects section, Stylized Edit 2 at the bottom. He did exactly as I asked and he has created such memorable wedding video for us.

I think Brett Culp's work is amazing... nothing cheesy about it!

Hi.

My husband and I were married in Disney 07/23/05. We used Jeffrey Stoner. He did an amazing job. You can check him out at stonervideo.com :)

I love Jeffrey's work! Do you happen to know how much he runs?
