VGC has skyrocketed! 335 per point

It's insane how much the prices for VGC has gone up throughout the years. It's too bad that the transient tax added to the VDH are pretty steep at around $2.70/point for this second DVC Disneyland property. That is probably a deal breaker for most people on a budget.

We could recoup our initial VGC purchase cost just selling one of our three 100 point VGC contracts now. My husband says, sell it, I on the other hand would like to keep it forever.

We bought VGC in February 2023 (points landed in April) after considering it for over a year. Over that period, we saw prices drop $60/point due to VDH anticipation. We figured it was the time to make a move. So happy we did. Looking at the math now in terms of VDH comparison, I think it's very possible VGC stays above $300 for some time.

With that, we always kinda wanted to buy in at VDH when it was released. That damn ToT, which is the main driver of the VGC pricing increase, is no joke.

If we started going to Disneyland more than once every 12-18 months....I'd consider buying VDH (resale) some day if VGC resale prices were still super high. But I can't see myself ever wanting to stay anywhere other than VGC if we take limited trips out there. We just love it way too much.

VGC is still underpriced. The latest contract listed for $320 and was taken in less than one day.
I was tempted by a $315PP listing that matches my UY. Seller was taking full price offers only, listing was also gone within a day. :sad2:

Well that one at $340 per point has offer accepted. Now, where’s the ceiling? What’s shocking is that’s about $100 more per point than a month ago.
I've seen analysis in the past saying VGC is still worth it over rack rate at $400pp.

This really has me thinking about selling my 50 pointer. 340pp for a small contract and we haven't hit the ceiling?
