VGC has skyrocketed! 335 per point

Someone posted in DVC Fan Facebook group that he was able to purchase points at VGC direct (for the $310pp) today - guide told him that they had some points to sell that DVD got back - probably through foreclosures.

So lucky! I asked my guide about VGC direct 2 weeks ago and they told me that even the waitlist is full. Maybe I should check in again.

That Facebook post also states that they are no longer using the wait list. I took that to mean it is now "first come, first served", so they won't take your name anymore.

I mean, they've been sold out for years and any waitlist would have thousands on it by now (and just keeping that list clean with current potential buyers would be a nightmare), yet someone was able to grab some points.

I saw the post too. Was kind of shocked. And as that poster said, he got it less than it is going for resale right now and with full points. Lucky break for that person. Said the number of points was extremely limited.

I saw some buybacks from the OC RecorderWorks site and was a little bit confused, but now it makes total sense. I don’t think they are going to start ROFR contracts as they have to take into account price per point and closing costs which would put it above the direct price. There’s a high probability we see a direct price increase.

Interesting. So a guide didn't actually call someone to say points were available? They just got lucky when they asked?

I asked back in February and was just told it's sold out. Then the guide started talking to me about VDH.
