What a good day.
My parents came over and helped us hang several pictures, so DH's office now has a ton of pics in it, and we have a couple in the kitchen, one in the living room, and a few in the bedroom. (Okay, we just wanted my dad to show us the tricks they've learned -- after all, why make the same mistakes they've made when we don't have to?
They just hung around after that and helped with the rest.
)
And in the process of hanging stuff in the bedroom, DH decided he wanted curtains for the bedroom. Now. As in immediately-let's-go-now type now. LOL!! So we went by JCPenny's and used the gift cards DH got for his birthday and I got for Christmas and bought curtains for the bedroom.
Which were all on sale.
So the inlaw's present for us was about 1/3 of the curtains. Which, again, my parents helped us hang.
So we now have pictures on the walls, pretty curtains in the bedroom, know how to hang more pictures now, a plan for more stuff to hang once we get it all framed, and a plan for some WDW pictures.
And I got a lot of stuff done for Stardust Dreams, the cross stitch / counted thread design company I've started.
Oh -- and you know that DVD/VCR combo that wasn't working quite right that DH got me for Christmas? All the VCR portion needed was the heads cleaned.
DH kept arguing that a new VCR shouldn't need that, I kept saying where's the kit let's *try* it, what's it going to hurt. My dad took one look, agreed with me, DH found the kit and now my present works.
So all in all, a very good day.
(now if we can just get all the kittens over the little bug they have. Sigh)
